He didn't do too many things that well with the team, but maybe the Dolphins taught him how to swim?
-
-
Why did he have to swim back?? Did no one on the boat realize that he had fallen off??
-
Sounds like he was out fishing alone. That's an immpressive swim. There are some elite ironman athletes that would have trouble making that swim
He had a good career in Miami. One of the best FB we've had in the last 15 yearsdolphin25, Aquafin, keithjackson and 1 other person like this. -
The article suggests he was out by himself and fell over. I'm assuming he was trolling and apparently not using a kill switch?
Swimming for nine hours is pretty goddamned impressive, as dumb as he was to get into that situation. I've seen people fail the 10 minute treading water test that PADI makes you do(or did?) for getting scuba certified. -
Ah yes, I should have read the article.
Who's the goose? -
-
I can only imagine swimming 9 miles lol that's navy seal level accomplishment. -
When I was a kid, a father of two from my neighborhood drowned after falling overboard between the Bahamas and Florida. He was alone. Boaters, use a kill switch.
-
Amazing that he did that. Always liked him as a player. Really good receiver out of the backfield.

His dad used to post on the site.So did Incognitos Dad .Actually FH claimed he posted on their site but we actually know he posted a lot more here .He registered here first and had a lot more posts here.

Always liked Rob Konrad. He wrote something about the Dolphins lack of success around the time he played for us, something to the effect of "For example, the Dolphins drafted me in the 3rd round, as a fullback! You can't win like that!"
SICK, Brasfin, MikeHoncho and 5 others like this. -
I AM A HUGE KONRAD fan and he made a remarkable catch outside the goaline when he slid on his bellie for a touchdown in the Oakland game back in 2002 or 2003 . I wish we had more players like him instead of the sulking monkey shines .
Rob Konrad is underrated as a pass catching fullback . I would have him on our roster any day of the week. man that is impressive to swim that far he deserves a medal . -
"Rob Konrad can't block his way out of a paper bag,"
That quote comes to mind every time I hear his name. -
-
a 35 ft boat would be tough with a kill switch, aren't they teathered to the starter? A life jacket way way more important. I think they make them with a beacon inside them too.... With his cash he should have had one of those. If he did that without a life jacket all the more impressive.

Met him and Olindo Mare once at Pete Rose Ballpark Cafe in Boynton when I was in high school.....dude was built like a brick ****ing house.....neck as wide as a car trunk.....really nice guy, both of them. Glad he's okay!
-
I did not play fullback for the Miami Dolphins or anything but, if it were me, I would have just climbed back on the boat. Nine hours swims are for LOSERS
