Wow,not the news I really wanted to hear. I wonder what direction we will go to help Ricky, pick up a free agent runningback or see what we got in Hilliard.

wow. what a blow. So if there is no CBA will he definitely be a dolphin in 2010? Can anyone confirm that his option gets activated?

Well not a surprise really. Ronnie still has yet to play a full season. I mean I love the guy for his attitude and his role in the WildCat but if he wants a huge contract I say let him walk. It gets frustrating seeing this every season and the guy has only one 1000 yard season (although not entirely his fault).

Don't get me wrong I want the guy back next year and love him as a player but I think we have to come to reality...the guy is injury prone and because of that may never be a truly elite RB. We keep waiting for that monster season that has never come. Miami really needs to find another RB in the draft or FA even if Ronnie is around. He still has yet to hit his physical prime and would be a value to keep but I wouldn't overpay. He makes the team better but he doesn't have that AP impact unfortunately so let's hope Ricky can lead us through the season.

As for this season this does hurt our playoff chances but they aren't dead.

I know it was years ago...but didn;t he play a full season in 2008?

The wildcat just got poached :(

I'm not looking for the best players, I'm looking for the right ones.

Looking for a silver lining: I think this will help the development of Chad Henne. Key word development. Not winning % or anything else.

Could be a good thing for the guys that wanted him back,he has really not been healthy for a full year and now he asking price to resign might come down.

I wonder if they would consider Edge if Hilliard doesn't work out? Just thinking out loud. I think Ricky can do it, but he definately needs some help.

Last year he played a full season. Not an elite running back? He has revolutionized the game all by himself. Does the wildcat ring a bell? He deserves a big contract he is about 99 percent of our offense. He does not have the AP impact? Without Ronnie Brown the wildcat would be nothing and you just said it yourself we are probably not going to get into the playoffs because we don't have him. So he definitively has some play making ability if that is the case.

Plus give me 5 good reasons he does not deserve a big contract. Ronnie Brown is our offense. He is out running back, our wild cat QB, and a wide receiver for us and he is awesome at all of them.

Miami does not need to find a running back in free agency, draft one , or trade for one, they need to resign the one that they have. It is hard to get an elite running back like Ronnie Brown and now that we have him we want to give him away I don't understand where all this hate is coming from. The man is our offense and we want to get rid of him.

I'd be more interested to see what Hilliard or Sheets can do. Edge is done and should retire.

THis sucks. Damn it all to hell. Well as if our season wasn't nailbiting enough. There's no doubt this hurts but i like our depth at the position.

So two RB on IR now WTF!! Listen im not going to start the thread but I have to say this someone else start the thread...

Ronnie Brown should be traded next year...

Listen Hes breaking down. 2 Major injuries on his lower body.. Hes not going to be able to come back and be better. Hes starting to age, wan'ts a big contract.. We have alot of holes..

We need to trade him for something decent draft or pickup some FA and build up..

Had to say it let the flames begin..
