I think he did a good job ranking them. I think Bush could of been a little higher. just a little.

 

I think he does a good job of characterizing the FAs here.

 

Anyone else see a problem with this:
22) Sean Smith, CB, Miami Dolphins: A physical player who occasionally looks like a true No. 1 cornerback. (At least for a few games at a time.)

 

He sure as **** ain't a mental player.

 

4 Dolphins in the top 30 + Bush...wont be easily replaced in the draft or FA if all move on. A big chunk of the core of the team. It will be interesting to see which stay and which move on between Smith, Long, Hartline and Bush assuming Starks gets the frachise.

 

Sean Smith is extremely physical in coverage.

 

Good let other teams think that. Let him get overpaid. GOOD RIDDANCE.

 

Well, first off, IMHO I think Bush's production can be replaced easily enough. Is Miller the answer ?? I don't know that for sure, but his few flashes made it seem as tho he could... A RBC can be accomplished with minor fa pickups or even lower round draft picks...

Long is Welker-ish I think...probably more useful to us than to anyone else, so I see him taking closer to what he's worth than moving on...

Starks is a must, but I like the idea of the tag better than a LT contract....That will give them one more year with Odrick to see if he can fill the Starks role...

Regardless of who we get in FA or the draft, I see Hartline as one they bring back. He's not terrible, but he's not a #1 either and I think everyone knows this (us, Fins, Hartline), making me think he is re-signed here. My reasoning for saying this is more along the lines that if he moves on, they HAVE to spend in FA and the draft in order to complete the team...

Smith seems to be a goner based on what he apparently is asking for and what we know of his game. He could surprise and settle for less here but that's the only way I see them re-signing him. It certainly makes a replacement a high priority. Coyle now knows what he can do, so the chips may fall...

I hope that they can shore up the holes in FA and play in the draft with whatever talent is available....I'd really like to see Keller added here at TE...complementing Fasano or without him...

I honestly think we can swap out some our free agents with some of those available and upgrade those positions. Starks is the one I really hope we keep or tag. I wonder how Fred Davis would look in Miami?

 

I'm surprised a few of you express disagreement with calling Sean Smith physical, but don't mind Brian Hartline being called a physical down-field threat. Or maybe that would just be beating a dead horse.

 

Wanted to draft him, I'd be fine with it...highly doubtful they give up that weapon for their young Qb.

 

I've seen him pull up on a pile and not get involved only to have the runner break off for additional yards, many times.

 

He did force three fumbles last season, so I wouldn't say he's completely useless. He also had that one fumble against Cincinnati I believe that the refs screwed over, so really he had 4. Not Charles Tillman but really good regardless.

 

Eh, do know someone is going to pay Smith a boatload of $$$, I do think it curious we devalue a guy who has done a good job for us.

 

So many corners available that I like more than Davis, smith.....
