Well, good for trying. Could have been a good thing for the team, the players, the city, of course assuming the stadium hasn't suffered any big damage.

That being said, pretty hard for the NFL to cancel the London game now considering it's Oct 1. Would have been nice to have it brought back here, but oh well I guess. Damn.

Tough to cancel a sold out game in a market you're trying to reach. The Dolphins have a good following in the London games. And wouldn't you be super pissed if you planned a trip to London to see the Dolphins and they take it away?

BUT, if I was Ross, I would refuse to do another London game for several years.

This is the key here to me. At this point, If I'm Ross the only way I would agree to do another London game is as the road team. No more giving up a home game for it, especially given the fact that the weather causing a disruption during hurricane season is a likely possibility that may cost you a home game already.

I think Ross should now ask for compensation, after he was denied his first request. A 3rd round comp pick would suffice for me. It's not how you start, it's how you CLOSE.

I don't understand how this isn't a reasonable request. Shameful that the NFL won't even answer the question. For those who say how unfortunate it would be for people who scheduled the trip to London, it sure is, but it was unfortunate for people who may have scheduled a trip to Miami week one, it's unfortunate but things happen. I'm tired of the Dolphins giving up a home game to London anyways.

Right, So I'm British, and I think the games in London shouldn't be happening. Maybe do some demo stuff, tours, whatever, in the off season, but not actual games.

That said, when you have a massive sell out crowd who have bought tickets you can't just cancel that game. Thanks fact these games even happen shows that the league doesn't value the home games as a priority, and if you agree to play one game internationally then it's a done deal.

What should have been is the Tampa game should have been moved to a different location to preserve the bye. Far easier to do.

But good on Ross for trying. It needed to be done even if improbable.

So sad that you brought that up too Bpk. I thought we were tight, comedy buddies, then you just had to go and bring up my Grandfather. After all we have been through. Chad Henne and Adolph Hitler ring a bell?

But, when you brought up my Grandfather (God Rest His Soul), it TOTALLY reminds me, of his favorite song. A wonderful song by a wonderful composer. My fellow Dolfans, I present to you (and I am honored to say this),

Ross and his stupid greed. Miami has no need to keep making these trips overseas. There are 30 teams in the NFL every team should be mandated to play 1 game a year overseas if that's what the NFL wants. So once every 15 seasons we would have to make the trip!

You don't see ANY super bowl teams offering to give up home field advantage. I feel this one game could cause us to miss the playoff run.

It has nothing to do with greed. He wants Miami to host Super Bowls. He just spent $500,000,000 of his own money to ensure that. He won't recoup that by hosting a Super Bowl.

I agree its not about the greed. I also get the frustration, we give up a home game while we are constantly chasing NE in our division. If we lose in London or we lose the following week after London, and then miss out on winning the division by 1 game, there will be a lot of second guessing.
