And
And
[QUOTE• Single-game ticket sales are up 79 percent from this time last year][/QUOTE]
And
Seems like Ross deserves a sizable thank you from the Miami fan who doesn't go to the stadium to stand and cheer for their team..
I would hope from what we saw of that defense fans would love to go to the stadium to see that swarming school of Phins..that's how you get a stadium alive...defense baby..

At least that's what the article is mainly aboutMile High Fin, DOLPHAN1 and ckparrothead like this. -
Other owners arent doing the same thing, such as Buffalo and San Diego. Instead they're just blacking out games and not even taking advantage of the 85% rule.
Our owner is treating us better than some others treat their fans...Unlucky 13, djphinfan, Mile High Fin and 4 others like this. -
Well this year my family and I moved back to Florida and my dad got season tickets for him and me when I go down from Orlando. We are part of the new group and excited as ever to go watch some Phins football

If that's what DJ is saying then I stand corrected but I was pretty sure he was communicating that we ought to give Steve Ross a hand for the fact that season ticket sales have picked up so much.

EDIT (I always figured maybe you needed two seats to accommodate but 15,000 Wow!
I think you should consider maybe getting DJ to make you a diet program.) -

Personally I think it is the individuals who purchase season tickets and individual game tickets, who deserve a thank you from those who would rather sit at home and not spend the money to attend games.
As a long time season ticket holder, I have always been opposed to the owner or anyone else stepping in and buying up tickets to ensure the game is on TV in South Florida. The is actually a slap in the face to those of us who actually buy tickets and go to the games. Perhaps if Ross would stop the practice of buying unsold tickets, the stands would actually be filled during games. Giving the product away for free to those who won't buy tickets just makes no sense to me. -
Ross certainly should be thanking the fans for using their hard earned money towards the Miami Dolphins. But the fans should be thanking Ross for giving them a product that is worthy of buying a ticket for, at least for the immediate future. Anybody who sells a product should thank the customers who buy it. But the customers are also thankful for products that are worth buying.

Well, I am part of a group of 19 (four families) coming down for the 11/17 Chargers game. We were even able to get group pricing in the lower level, near the endzone. It's my third time down there, but it'll be the first for several in my group. So that helps - for a game that will likely be relatively tough to sell out compared to the rest of the schedule ..... you're welcome!

As a non SoFloridian, I would thank Ross for at least getting fans over the would-be black-outs at a time when tix sales were/are tough. To keep the interest going for the casual fan, or the jaded fan who gave up their tickets, but might come back when the time is right. Hopefully, the team will give you all who live down there the reason to put up your hard-earned dough on the team soon!

The season ticket increase is just pure excitement from my standpoint..
The underlining tone is that we have an owner who didn't panic, who's taken unnecessary heat, and is constantly trying to do the right thing for our franchise. -
I wish our owner were cool, like Mark Cuban.
-
Ross is 10x cooler than Cuban IMO.

I just hope these early signs point to a more-full stadium come the Atlanta game. A pumped up home crowd can make SO much of a difference.
