Bleacher Report = not true. I learned this a few weeks ago when I posted something from there and it turned out not to be true at all.

To be fair, if it says "may" release him, then the only real way for it to be false is if the thought never even entered the mind of any FO personnel or the owner.

While this was unlikely from the start, it wouldn't have shocked me. Especially with Edwards not starting this week and Holmes due back week 5.

Someone needs to let Florio know that our guys that had their issues this off-season were 1st time offenders, and not malcontent-douchebags that are already on probation.

 

I can't see anyway the Jets release or trade Edwards. At least until Holmes gets back on the field. Rex, Tannenbaum and Woody might be pissed at him, but they aren't going to cut him until they have someone to replace him.

 

Only thing i have seen with Edwards and release, is the fact he released a statement about his arrest. Other then that, nothing.

 

He seemingly goes out of his way to bring them up.

And Florio has no bias. He attacks EVERY team with the same fervor. His bias is to whatever will draw hits and make him money.

 

If there's any truth to it (which I don't believe for a second), I'd have respect for the Jets making that kind of move. I'd still hate em, of course, but I'd respectfully hate em.
