NFL Live just mentioned this stat- Saints D gives up 6.3 yards per Wildcat.
I'm sure it was only ran on them very few times, but it is a stat that is meaningful, so I had to post it.
Mark Schlereth picked Miami
Herm Edwards picked the Saints

The eagles ran it some in the first half. They did pretty well against us with it. But I don't think they ran much more than 5 or so plays. But I don't think the Saints prepared much for it either. This week Reggie Bush was running the wildcat in practice.

They shoulda let Pierre Thomas do it.
Reggie emulating Ronnie?
Ronnie is a power runner, while Reggie is more of a change of pace back.dolfan7171 likes this. -
I was reading on a Saints forum where Bush was gaining chunks of yardage against his own defense while in the WC.
Which sounds good.........and I'd also be willing to bet they might just try it against us a play or two. -
And ill take Leon over Reggie.RickyNeverInhaled likes this. -
If they really give up that many yards, then Miami should do just fine since they run more often than just 5 or 6 times. Who would believe that they might break a long one on Sunday for a touchdown??

I have a good feeling about this game.We already know what the Colts did to us in TOP.It's time to learn from that experience. If we can stop the quick strike,we have a good chance to win.dolfan7171 likes this. -
With Miami, you're basically facing, "We're going to shove the football so far up your *** you're going to learn every taste nuance of fresh pigskin. And then when you get over the initial experience, you're going to want to sit in a corner, rocking back and forth while hugging your knees, and muttering about how that isn't an 'in' hole."
Can't really gameplan against that, you can only hope to limit the damage. And much better defenses than that of the Saints have failed horribly at doing so. I expect it will be a long night for that D and a very tiring one.skippysphins, 2socks, dolfan7171 and 3 others like this. -

Was good to hear that Bush was running it with success against his own D tho.... -

Maybe this is the game where we show the wildcat domination. If we beat the Saints with it, no one can talk.

I wouldn't tempt our infamous history for such outcomes.
After hearing all week, about nothing else except, how they're gonna deal with our Wildcat package, you can rest assured the Saints would love nothing more, than to challenge us, if not defeat us, with our own game.
While they obviously won't be as comfortable running it, it certainly doesn't mean they can't be successful with it, nor should we simply assume, ours will be against them.
If we happen to fall behind early, and consequently get taken out of our game, they'll be left to run Wildcat plays at leisure. Then, if we get at all sloppy with tackling, and they get any noteworthy production out of it, I don't need to explain what the Media would run with, and every highlight caption next week.dolfan7171 likes this. -

i really think we'll see the yeremiah bell from last year on this game. plus sean smith and vontae davis have had enough games under their belt to let loose and get some more int's. And Will allen will be playing like he's afraid to lose his job to 2 rookie cb's. All of this equals a bad day for Bree's. his best hope is to throw to gibril wilson's side.

Hey Saint Greg......they are going to "run it up the middle all day". And there is nothing that you can do.

to add to the picks from the 1st post.
Mr. out of breath so I talk really deep as my lungs collapse at the end of my sentences- Chris Berman picks us to win via ball control 24-23
has to be the first upset I have ever seen him pick miami for. -
24/27-Miami

if you are NO in practice, you need to have Bush running the WC ... why, because its RB SPEED that makes our WC work, not his power .... defenses are amazed every week by just how quick RB is .... hence both he and RW can get to the outside with impunity.
when RB makes his decision, he is so quick ... even RW can't touch that ...
regardless, so if you are practicing, you need to emulate RBs speed, quickness .... and that means Reggie Bush, not Pierre .... -

we ran all over kris jenkins, david harris, bart scott.........i like our chances against the saints run defense.
