[Scrubs] 2.0 Revealed!

B.Seboforum_veteranOPSo everyday for the past few weeks I have checked to see if Bill Lawrence had revealed his plans for the new Scrubs, well today he finally did, and I must say it was what I was hoping for (minus not having Denise :no:)

Scrubs boss Bill Lawrence said his cancellation-defying comedy would undergo an extreme makeover in its ninth season, and, man, he wasn't kidding. When the show returns next winter, the action will shift from the hospital to the classroom and make med-school professors of John C. McGinley's Dr. Cox and Donald Faison's Turk.
More info in the link. This really excites me as I really started to like Turk as the show went on and of course Perry Ulysses Cox was always my favorite character.

sking29forum_veteranI know the show will be way different without JD but Turk can keep me interested. Oh and I am jazzed about no Denise...I hated her character. :lol:
Plus how can Carla be a guest star when she's Turk's wife? That seems weird.

Clark Kentforum_veteranSo lame... Seriously BL, it's time to move on. Scrubs seasons 1-5 were amazing. The show has slowly gone downhill sense. I'm sure I'll tune in to check it out, but I think it's a mistake.

B.Seboforum_veteranI heard a report earlier that they are currently brainstorming new titles and that the 'big name' may be Lauren Graham (formerly of Gilmore Girls).
It looks like this will be a true spinoff, season 1 of a new show.

Its going to center on Turk and Dr Cox, So probably one of those 2.

Jt0323moderatorBill Lawrence did this once before with Spin City when Michael J. Fox had to leave. They had what was his series Finale and then brought it back with Charlie Sheen

Not only that but Denise is coming back as a full-time star as the faculty adviser!
Good riddance to Glenn Matthews, he was okay, but he was always my least favorite character (alongside Turk).

Being my least favorite character on Scrubs is like being Anthony Armstrong . . . I like ya fine, but I would not be sad if they went away.

But you like Denise...the most annoying character ever conceived on the show and had me wanting to shoot the television whenever she was a featured character? :D
I already wondered if I'd be watching the revamped show but if she is a main character I will definitely be walking away and doing so happily.
