They're definitely discussing it on the Chargers message boards! lol. 4 INTs, a pick 6, most important reason the Chargers lost while playing with the #1 defense. A quote from a poster:

Flacco was another guy who had 120 attempts and absolutely abysmal ratings across his first 5 playoff games only to play great in his 6th game and eventually turn into a great playoff QB. We'll see if Lamar can do that.danmarino likes this. -
I've noticed a trend with the playoffs on the wild card. These games have all gotten very one sided over the last few years. I mean, lBaltimore already has this game won. TV already airing Derrick Henry ccommercials. Houston straight up pimp slapped Justin Hebert and the San Diego Harbaughs. The games have been boring.

2022 was not too bad btw. 2 games lopsided 2 a TD difference and 2 within 3. And few compare to 2016 where the margins of victory were 13, 20, 25, 18 lol.danmarino likes this. -
Ok...George Pickens needs to be a Miami Dolphin. Pittsburgh is going to lose, but this kid has played tough. Just a gritty player. Put him next to Waddle.

I don’t know if the Chargers/Texans game was unexpected. I hemmed and hawed all week before making my pick on that game. I went against my intuition in picking the Chargers.
Should have listened to my gut. Demeco Ryans had that defense dialed up and Herbert looked like a lost rookie out there.danmarino likes this. -

Sorry about the Herbert disaster show. Hopefully some of you have gotten over it.

Minimum sample size with passer rating should always be 150+. Herbert is only halfway there at 75 in the playoffs, so we'll see. And the same is obviously true with Tua in the playoffs. But yesterday was so utterly horrible it's the perfect ammunition against anyone suggesting we should have taken Herbert over Tua.danmarino likes this. -
And when/if they come back they’ll have excuses for Herbert’s play. And what’s funny, there are some legit things that made his play even worse than it was if his teammates had played better, but they never give Tua the same concessions… so **** them.Phin McCool, Tuanon4Life and cbrad like this. -

Anyone else ready to see if Denver can pull off an upset? Would love to see Buffalo go down today.
And in non-playoff news, Vrabel is the next coach of the New England Patriots. I thought it odd they didn't go after him last year. I feel like it's an OK hire. He's got some experience to get things off the ground and running, but I'm not sure of his offensive chops for developing Maye. I was hoping they wouldn't snag the Lions' Ben Johnson, so at least that didn't happen. I'm not scared of Vrabel, but I do think he can be stabilizing and improve that team.danmarino likes this. -

Herbert was garbage, period. Houston's D is legit but JH was just horrible. It doesn't make me happy he was garbage but it does put things in perspective when dealing with the Tua haters/Herbert lovers around here. Where are they now ? Why aren't they saying Herbert was trash?
If it was Tua that played that game last night instead of Herbert all those know-it-alls would be tripping over themselves trying to get to their keyboards as fast as possible.
Therefore, they're not to be taken seriously.danmarino and Tuanon4Life like this. -
Herbert is like Tua, doesn't have enough trustworthy receiving options. This is the first year Tua I think had a full complement of receivers and unfortunately he was hurt too often to take advantage of it for a full year. Herbert had several drops yesterday but overall played poorly. I wouldn't rank it as one of the worst performances because of those drops.

Herbert sucked last night but he is not a bad QB.
I don't think he is elite but then again either is Tua.
Not many Elite Qbs in the NFL but unfortunately all of them are in the AFC unless you consider Staddford or Goff..
Do I think we can win with Tua if he can stay healthy.Yes if they can build a team like Philly.
I seriously doubt either will happen and definitely see another concussion coming because this dude is to frail and stupid to protect himself.
