i have felt that way a few times myself. dont leave, take a break and when we start beating up on the bears, lions and raiders come back. thats when the threads will be about how great henne is, how we are a super bowl team, etc.... it will be just as ridiculous but will be a little easier to stomach. we are a good not great team who is young and inconsistent and learning how to win but more often than not i like the product i see on the field. its a fun team to root for

I would at least stay for the next two games, 2 games in 6 days, if we win, 6-4, lose both, and checking out is not a terrible option as there will not be all that much to chat about other than whether Sparano keeps his job.
all the sudden the browns , lions and raiders don't look like gimmees.

I really think this game against the titans will be indicative to how we finish the season. If we lose i think we'll crumble and finish the season with 6-8 wins total. If we win however, i think we may actually be able to muster up a 10 win season.
Next two games, even if we win on Sunday, we have a game on Thursday against a 6-3 or 5-4 team.

Solid reasons that anyone would be wise to heed. You'll be missed...See you in January.:shifty:
I can assure you that you aren't alone. I understand venting frustrations, but its the way its being done around here thats out of control. I'm all for criticism, especially constructive criticism. But posts filled with profanity (that the filter blocks out thankfully), and nothing of substance, simply Henne sucks, Henning sucks, Crowder sucks with not any explanation as to why are just pointless to have. How many people just miraculously just show up when things go bad, but are never around when things are good, simply showing up just to stir the pot with nonsense.
That being said, I agree with you. This is a young team, do we have area's of concern, absolutely, have we taken some serious lumps this year, absolutely, but we're at 500 after probably the toughest part of our schedule is through, I dont see the problem, especially since that's what most people probably would have predicted at the start of the year anyways. It is what it is really.
I'd encourage you to stick around, just pick and choose what you read though, and really just keep in mind your own opinion. If you feel we're doing ok, thats great. No need to take what anyone else thinks personally. It is what it is. Everyone either looks at this team in an optimistic, or pessimistic way. Nobody, will ever agree with anybody, and thats what keeps places like this alive, you can only hope the quality of the conversation stays up though at the same time.

Yeah probably the worst 6-3 or 5-4 team of all time.
Good to see you're still around here Rodgers.
I must say I greatly enjoyed watching the Pack dismantle the Cowboys last night but what you did to the Jets in Jersey was pure heaven!
Rooting for you guys and the Saints in the NFC.
Take it to em!

Darren Mcfadden will have a field day with this garbage defense. Screens galore.

Dude, don't be a quitter... beside it is only 8 more games... so suck it up buttercup!

I think we all need to prepare ourselves for another long weekend. In my opinion, the Titans are actually the class of the AFC and are my pick to go to the Super Bowl. This team before Moss was playing at a very high level and now Chris Johnson could run for 250 yards a game with teams having to keep a safety deep for Moss. Plus, their defense is back to their 2008 ways (almost) and if Britt comes back, the offense is going to be deadly.
Then we get the Bears who are beatable, but another very good defense. Cameron Wake could have 9 sacks in that game alone though. The problem I see is that it's in Soldier Field. I'm going to guess we lose this one also. That puts us at 4-6. Not sure about the rest of you, but if we go to 4-6, I'm going to have to root for them to lose going forward. Hopefully we can sneak a Top 10 pick and maybe a QB (outside of Luck) warrants a pick in the Top 10. Or we do whatever we can do to move up and get Luck. Maybe Dallas has the 1st pick and we can move our 1st, 3rd, and 2nd next year for Dallas' 1st this year and take Luck. He will be the best pure franchise QB since Peyton, Eli, Rivers, etc..
I know, thinking way ahead, but I'm starting to doubt this QB a little more then in the past. The Ravens are beatable and their defense is nowhere near what analysts made it out to be.
So if we are 4-6, here's how I see the rest of the schedule going:
@ Oakland - this team is red hot and their defense is probably the most underrated in the league. Loss
vs. Clevelan - Cleveland has played well at times, but I think if you stop Hillis, you stop this team. We stop Hillis. Win
@ NYJ - Going to be a very important game for them as they vie for the division. Loss
vs. BUF - It's at home, don't see us losing to the bills at home
vs. Detroit - All depends upon if Stafford is healthy. If so, Loss. I think he will be healthy by this game, so Loss.
@ NE - Could be meaningless for both, but I say it's not and the Pats are playing for playoff ranking, potentially home field? Loss.
6-10. Let's just hope we can find a way to sneak past the Titans and come up big in Soldier Field against the Bears so we don't have to think about the rest of my post.
and then 10 days to prepare for Oakland. The coaches need to get these three game in for us. If they do, we will still need a lot of help, but are barely alive. We lose even one of these next three I think the season is done. We are not winning in NE or at the Jets.
are you kidding me Keith, that's fu#@ed up man, the journey of building the right team is the best part, figuring out what we need and who we need to get rid of, who we need to add, potential free agent's, the draft...as soon as I know the team is toast, the fun begins, it will be time to go GM'N.
Right now we have a chance to begin a new season, the 2nd half, if we get this win against the Titan's, we can finish strong, and that will have positive affects for our young team in terms of quality exp.for next year's run..
This was always the year for evaluation and gaining exp Keith, you just have to listen to the right people, and if we lose against the titan's, then a whole other level of analysis will begin...watchin tape on the draft...
Sunday's game is the MUST win...it is for our season imo..everything changes if we lose, excitement for my young team if we win.

This thread didn't have 'in the playoffs' in it when I was here yesterday.
What up with that?
So you want this forum to be all roses and lillies? The fact is the Dolphins beat themselves wayyyy too many times and are you suggesting those grown men dont deserve criticism? If my son gets a 60% on an exam, I'm not going to congratulate for getting 60% of it right, I'm going to punish him and lecture him for getting 40% wrong.
Yeah, very interesting. :shifty:
Perhaps a pointed message?
Of course not, players always deserve criticism when they mess up....they're paid to do what many of us dream about. If i saw threads about "Fire Brandon Marshall or Steve Smith" because they cost us turnovers in multiple weeks, I'd disagree but I can see where folks are coming from. That's criticism and you could build an arguement around it.
That's not what's happening here though, and 90% of the threads on the first 10 pages all go from a conversation about whatever the OP mentioned to "Henne sucks...bench him." (with the same points being made of Ricky, Ronnie, the OL, our secondary, the coaching staff, etc). When someone asks why we should bench him, the answer is, "cause he sucks." No reasoning, no pointing out actual plays....nothing like that....just, "We suck, so it's time for next year." That's not criticism...it's just a bunch of people being sore losers who want to vent.
I completely see where DJ and several others are coming from...but I grew up in South Florida and went to almost every home game in the mid 80's-early 90's. There were always folks in the stands screaming, "You suck f^%kin Shula," (or whatever), then five minutes later they're dancing around when Marino stole a win we didn't deserve. Most of those teams back then were 8-8 or 9-7, but everyone in Maimi was a fan for 16 games regardless of what happened. I've always hated those guys in the stands...always cussing and badmouthing our team then celebrating when they were doing well...and it seems like this website has a lot of them.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I am a Miami Dolphins fan for the entire season and regardless of how good or bad the team is, I support them 100% every week. Players make mistakes.....just like you and I do.....and instead of just admitting defeat for the season I like to actually beleive that the Fins will still turn it around. Even if they don't, I'm still a huge Fin fan....and I'm not sure others feel the same here.

I will say I agree for the most part about your posts, except this forum is littered with specifics...ie plays, reasoning, all that and then some....yes there is the occasional he sucks, because I said he sucks, but for the most part all we do on here is talk specifcs......IDK bro, you are what you are right now....a 4-4 team with a coaching staff that makes mistakes, and a QB with more Int's than TD's, a defense that misses big opportunities regulary and the play I have been watching on the field displays this....
Again do I think they can turn somethings around...yes....is there still an opportunity to make the playoffs...yes....is there schedule a little easier even though we all watch the Oaklands, DET, and Cleveland of the world play better than usual...absolutly....I'll watch for 16, that the only way I know how....and I said 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 was the record I thought for this team coming into it...however it doesnt mean I want that record, and I'm upset that it so far is coming true....I have the right to display that frustration...
All true, but keep in mind as the pain of such a loss fades people go back unto an even keel.
I think this stretch, Sunday and Thursday, tells most of the tale of this season Keith, I do believe that to be how it is.
Thats the thing, take what this board says on Sunday after a win or loss with a grain of salt, as Mr. Brew is usually talking...

i hear you. its frustrating as hell to have to listen to our fans sometimes. i was watching the game sunday on a feed and there was a chatroom. during the game you had people ripping Henning. Throughout the game, these fools were continuosly proved wrong. I mean it was laughable how bad they were. One example early on is one clown started ripping Henning saying he would probably call a RB screen implying that it would be a horrible call. Anyone who knows football, knows a screen against an aggressive defense like Baltimore is actually a good call if you time it right. Sure enough, a few plays later, Henning dials up a screen and it goes for ten yards. lol. You think the clowns shut up after that? No they kept calling plays that wouldnt work in their minds and sure enough eventually that play would be called and it would work. Our fan base has deteriorated to a whining mass of crybabys who have no clue what the game is about. All they want is results and have no inkling of what realistic expectations are.
All I can say is buckle down. You get it. And we need people who are voices of reason to stay and voice their opinions, otherwise the nattering nabobs of negativism win
I knew it was only a matter of time before we saw a thread like this. How dramatic. People have different opinions on things and react differently to their favorite team's mediocrity. Wow, there's a shocker. Let's all find members on this forum who have the same opinions as us on everything. That way we can get together in small groups and then branch out and create the most boring internet forums ever.
See ya later, man.
I know a guy... :shifty:
Well Kieth its been a hard to swallow season so far just take a break from the forum we will be here thick or thin. Check in if you feel like it or just read the threads that look more appealing to you.

I hope you come back and read this soon. You will see that a lot has already changed. There are some really good and valid discussions going on now.
It seems that a lot of the heated feelings are subsiding and the logic is starting to flow from all sides of all camps again.
I was very close to taking a break myself. I am glad I didn't, now.
of course we do, it just gets expressed angrily by some that are just writing what their thinking, doesn't mean they dont love the team any less I think...If they come here, and their in the stands, than they are real fans that love our team..
Imo, you dont know how good we got it here...leaving the site because some get on your nerves is silly man...dont run from them, check'em. have to make this site the best we all can, it will be my home {I hope yours as well} as a dolphin fan..lets keep it tight.
