I would add cameras to endzone, make replays done by a replay official and make it so pass interference is not called if the defender movements is going for the ball.

Then the Pats would be picking first every draft.:lol:

I would change the structure of the league, so that its truely one corporation with 32 locations, not seen as 32 separate businesses. That way the league office could always do whats best for the league, and not have to worry about accusations of collusion and such.

I would also realign the league based on geography into Eastern and Western conferences. The current setup is obsolete, and frankly completely sucks for Miami.

I wouldn't let any player renegotiate a contract until he's in the final year of the one that he signed.

I would move the draft to early March, and start free agency two weeks after that. Of course, trading would be allowed prior to the draft.

Either it is a minor penalty befitting of the 5 yards or it is a major one that carries the automatic first, but it can't/shouldn't be both.

I'd get rid of the extra point entirely and make them all 2 pt conversions. The extra point is a throwaway play that takes a lot of time, is pretty much automatic and contributes virtually nothing to the game. A 2 pt conversion is a very interestign and exciting play that rewards good short yardage offense/defense, which is one of the key factors in winning/losing already. To me it is close to a no-brainer. I couldn't care less that it might affect kicker scoring stats.

I'm all for getting rid of the Extra Point, but making the team go for 2 every time sucks, IMO. I'd let them just take 7, or take 6 and go for 2.

I'd be down for a lottery of the bottom 4 or 5 teams...keep the Colts from the bulls*** they pulled.

-Roughing the passer absolutely has some grey area. If anything touches their head, its roughing the passer. Or it's not. whatever, just be consistent.
-Align the divisions to make sense. Us not being in the AFC South always felt like a **** you, we want Peyton in the playoffs year in and year out. Ditto for Luck now. Put the Colts in the AFC East and Miami in the AFC South and the entire structure of the AFC gets shaken IMO.
-The draft is fine the way it is. The nfl is such a huge business as it is that you don't see teams tank the way they would in the NBA. The colts may have gotten Lucky with Luck but the truth is their HOF QB did get hurt for the season. It just kind of fell into place for them. I don't think they tanked.
-With the way it's going, having a salary cap is more pointless each year.
-I actually think the playoffs should be expanded. Yes, im a homer dolphins fan who hates how we find ways to be the 7th seed all the time, but I also really don't like how the same exact teams make the playoffs for years with the exception of a few shake ups.

I wouldn't mind seeing a trade able to happen at any time. I also think a lottery system would definitely shake things up. Not Change the draft just the way the order is determined. Lottery in each round. Imagine the super bowl champs luck out and get the first pick. Why force a player to have to play for a ****ty team?

Funny how things can be looked at differently....

- I like the PI being subjective. The thing is, while not every call/non-call is right, most are. There are some things the replays just don't show. I am more concerned with non-calls than the error that may be made on a foul that is called...
- roughing the passer is about player safety. they can't go back on that now. Especially with the concussion issues of today's game (not to mention the law suit)... It can get pretty ticky-tacky, but overall it seems to be more right than wrong.
- I don't want to see the long standing rivals we have changed. I like hating the jests, pasties and jills...let's keep it that way.
- The draft is fine but I wouldn't be too upset with a lottery for the first round only for ONLY the non-playoff teams. That keeps the 'Suck for Luck' crowd out of the equation. Plus it gives the NFL another chance for tv show...
- The salary cap is still one of the reasons this league has been successful, to me. While they will never be able to 'give' back to the union, it really keeps both the league/teams and the players stakes in the revenues coordinated. It'll be interesting to see how the next few years go, but it's not the worst thing that has happened to the league...
- I do like the idea of expanding the po's, but only by one more team in each conference. I'd like to see the last slot go to the the team with the best record that did NOT make the playoffs (for example that would have put Arizona in last season and of course it's still convoluted in the AFC, as there were 4 teams at 8-8, the next best record after the po teams...)

The PI thing sucks in many ways. I even hate the 'DB didn't turn around' rule. It rewards a bad throw (underthrow), and lets the offensive guy make contact even if the defender is in position. I honestly think the Ravens do this intentionally all the time. My friend is a huge Ravens fan and he can practically tell you when it's coming "Toss it deep to Torrey, maybe leave it short and get a PI!" His predictions are very accurate. I just think that rule is broken.

Expanding the regular season would be awful. It makes each individual game less important, and particularly each division rivalry less important because you have extra time to make up a possible loss. Seattle and Frisco games are huge because they make up 1/8th of their schedule; expand it and it becomes 1/9th. I just don't like that. Rivalries are everything in sports.

Expanding the playoffs would be awful. The NFL season and postseason are really awesome because every week is significant and the playoffs are exclusive. Don't reach down to reward mediocrity.

A lottery doesn't make sense for the NFL. FIrst off, it's just not a fair process. And basketball is such a "one player league" where those high draft picks are far more important than the ones in the NFL. NBA teams have way more legit reasons to tank. And even if an NFL did tank....at least it's not 30-40 games worth like it is in the NBA. I also think a lottery would take away from the League's parity.

The expanded playoff thing that they WILL have for 2015 is all about the $$$. Goodell's creedo...as long as it brings in more $$$.

If we could fast-forward 10 years, we wouldn't recognize the NFL.

- I don't like realignment because we have long standing rivalries with the Jets, Pats & Bills.

- I think there should be a minor league consisting of 16 teams. 1 NFC & 1 AFC team of close location share a minor team. For example, Miami & Tampa could share a minor team in Orlando. (Atlanta & Jacksonville could share a team in Alabama, New Orleans & Tennessee could share one in Mississippi, San Diego & San Fran share a team in LA, etc.) That way there's an actual farm system (for players AND coaches) AND a presence in secondary markets. Also make their season during the NFL offseason.

- PI changed to 10 yards OR keep it the way it is and make it reviewable and have clear specific criteria (which would be 6 +2) that constitute PI.

- get rid of PAs and make a TD worth 7 unless you go for the 2pt conversion.

- put a goddamn sensor in the ball and use some lasers to read when the ball breaks a given plane (TD, yard line, goal posts)

- make out of bounds = more than half a whole foot. No more one toe is OB.

- for one whole season at the end of their respective games, Vick has to get attacked by pit bulls and Big Rape has to get sodomized with a stapler.

1) I think the NFL is too pass friendly. I like the interference calls in general - refs do a pretty good job. But, allow CBs 10 yards of contact. I think this would bring back the running game which would help the league; and the better passing games would still succeed.

2) I don't think the NFL has done enough to really curtail steroids - which contributes to the violent hits. In the old NFL (60s-80s) players could hit hard were very tough and physical but did not knock people out of games quite as much.

3) Change player contracts in some way. Some more guaranteed types and less bonus money. Creates all kinds of odd situations with cuts, etc.

4) Protect players long term on injuries. Having higher long term injury settlements would help players (avoid the meat market situation). Too many who don't really make a ton of money for the short time they are in the league get hurt and struggle to get back into society effectively.

5) Most important for last: Change the NFL Network!!!! It is the worst. It's models for TV are terrible. It's top 10s are not great. It under-utilizes NFL Films. It's talk shows and hosts are HORRIFIC. There's no excuse for the poor programming. It highlights superficial stuff.

- But, otherwise, I would hate the lottery. I like the draft as it is. Allows for teams to trade effectively in the draft.

The real changes need to happen at the college level with players having life-long scholarships to complete education and playing players a stipend as well as insuring and giving them benefits from jersey sales, etc.

Generally speaking, the NFL is the best sports league.

At their annual meeting in Atlanta, NFL ownership discussed adding two playoff teams but did not vote on the measure, which will require approval of the NFL Players Association.

A lottery would be great. The NFL definitely needs more opportunity for corruption.

It is designed to prevent teams from throwing games on purpose to increase draft position...which doesn't actually stop teams from doing it though.

Agree with many of the suggestions on here already, like PI, PAT's and a development league. But totally against a draft lottery, parity is one of the biggest reasons that the NFL has become the success it has in sports, and team with worst record getting the best pick is one of the most influential reasons for parity. The chance of a winning team getting the top pick each year would impact that.

Adding just one team, the top seed gets the bye and the other six play the wildcards to join the top seed in the Divisional round.
