In other words, how many of you like what you see at offensive coord.? I get the impression sometimes he is a little stubborn and inflexible in his ways. Kind of set in his ways. Certainly seems to get settled on what players bring, and if he doesn't think they can bring they do not play.

The offense isn't scoring loads of points how can the playcalling be any good!??
I think the offensive coaching staff deserves a solid "B". There's some stuff I'd like to see differently, but there's some stuff that they get little to no credit for managing well. -
Thought that he could've been a bit more creative in the beginning of the season. If they would've mixed it up like they did against the 49ers ALL season, they would probably have 1 or 2 more wins and Tannehill would have 10-14 TDs. Definitely seems to settle on players.

I wanna say he's doing subpar, but our wrs (and rookie qb too) leave so much on the field.

Here it is!,!
I've been waiting for the anti Sherman threads! -

Well, it does seem like the kid is being told to play in the pocket at all costs, I mean we're not seeing the Texas am offense here..there's no zone read stuff, limited design on getting the Qb outside the pocket.
I'm still trying to figure out what Ryan can and cannot do, have no idea whether Sherman is calling a good game or what his potential is..I think him running on first downs in precarious situations needs to be adjusted. -
I'd get is a C-. I have not been happy with it at all. Still trying to figure out why we don't run screens or why we haven't been rolling Tannehill out that much...

Nelson, Jennings, Jones, and Cobb combined obviously allow you to open up aspects of the playbook that Hartline & Bess simply can't execute with any degree of confidence, or execute at all for that matter, no? Route combinations that take time to develop. Certain high/lo stretch concepts involving Bess. Quick passes at or behind the LOS, fades, 50-50 balls, WR screens, vertical stretch concepts.......

And again, I don't think you should automatically think they don't use the entire playbook, or a good portion of it like the rest of the NFL does. For all we know, they could be. -
i think the playcalling was very good at the beginning of the season, but it has fallen off the last 4-5 weeks

I pretty much agree with everyone so far.... Its hard to judge, the play calling doesnt seem to be the problem, its more the scheme and how limited it is. I wish we'd focus more on our strengths, which is our backfield and the running game. I understand, however, that the focul point going into the season was to get Tannehill his licks and he's stayed healthy. The reconstruction to the offense will enter another phase next year, and we'll be able to better judge Tannehill, Sherman, etc.

If Tannehill is suppose to be given a pass this year because of the lack of talent surrounding him on offense. I would have to think that Sherman should also be given that same pass.
This team has a mediocre offensive line and other than Reggie Bush, no other play makers on the offense. Sherman can only call plays based on the limited talent he has been given and therefore I am willing to wait and see how he does as the offensive coordinator, if the team has more talent on offense next year. Just as I will wait to judge Tannehill once he has better talent around him. -
