Disadvantages: Could be interpreted as a sidekick to a sidekick. Along with Robin, almost wrecked film franchise.

Sidekick to: Wonder Woman
Advantages: Super powers granted by Zeus. Also hot.
Disadvantages: Various confusing appearances in comics and TV led to relative obscurity.

Sidekick to: He-Man
Advantages: Incredibly ferocious. Perhaps the most badass of all animal sidekicks.
Disadvantages: Alter ego, Cringer, is incredible wuss. Allows He-Man to ride on his back.
vs. DynoMutt (14) 
Sidekick to: The Blue Falcon
Advantages: Could produce a seemingly infinite number of mechanical devices from his body.
Disadvantages: Bumbler. Robotic devices usually failed.

Sidekick to: Captain America
Advantages: Skilled acrobat, fighter, scout, and assassin. Vibranium shield. Eventually became Captain America.
Disadvantages: Known for “Bucky Clause”: “No one in comics stays dead except Bucky, Jason Todd, and Spider-Man's Uncle Ben and girlfiend Gwen Stacy,"
vs. Krypto the Superdog(10) 
Sidekick to: Superman/Superboy
Advantages: Has all of Superman’s powers. Seriously.
Disadvantages: The tendency to destroy doors when he wants to go out. Accidentally inflicts serious wounds on those he apprehends.

Sidekick to: Superman
Advantages: Prototypical sidekick. Nose for news.
Disadvantages: Received a ridiculous array of silly powers over the years, from monstrous beard growth to porcupine quills.
vs. Aqualad (15) 
Sidekick to: Aquaman
Advantages: Adapted for underwater environment; enhanced strength and senses. Can also manipulate water.
Disadvantages: Sidekick to one of the most universally reviled superheroes ever.
