site yesterday (Nov.30)

It didn't crash so it wasn't exactly like the old one but we had a technical problem that bogged the site down. We worked to get the problem resolved and continue to fine tune the system to eliminate slow downs.

Don't mean to dig this up (well it was only 5 posts down) but I've noticed quite a bit of slowdown lately. Is our membership exploding beyond all belief? That would be a good problem if that's the goal.

We had turned on caching and that worked to speed up the load time but some browsers were unable to stay logged in with caching turned on so we disabled it yesterday. We also moved all of the images (avatars, signatures, buttons, logos, etc) to their own server a few days ago to reduce the burden on the server.

Having a fast loading site is our highest technical priority and Muck (literally) loses sleep over the issue. We will continue to find ways to have the fastest loading Miami Dolphins forums anywhere.

I love this site. I never have trouble logging on, on game day. The old site I never could get on until the day after a game.

This site rocks. :up:
