Big risky pick but if I’m being honest Tua has the most upside if any QB in the draft. If he stays healthy he’s going to be a big big improvement over the last 15+ years.
However Tua wore 13 and well that’s not available in Miami unless Marino un retires it which he shouldn’t!! What number will Tua play with??

13 wasn't very lucky for him, so maybe he should go with 7.
-
He was #12 in high school

Dolphins fans should really be excited about Tua.
Let me show you why:

Neither 12 nor 13 are available. Both numbers (Griese and Marino) were retired.

He should take #14. It's one of my lucky numbers. Many of you know I'm not overly thrilled with Tua, but I'm willing to share my number and give him some luck.
If not 14, then 4. I'd say 44 but a QB cant wear that hahaPauly and Surfs Up 99 like this. -
I think 8, 10, 15 or 16 would all look good on him.
-
18. You don't see many of those. Didn't Manning wear 18 in Indy?

Out of curiosity, I just looked and we have retired 3 total jersey numbers. #12 for Griese, #13 for Marino and #39 for Czonka.
Most of you probably already knew that but I didn't, so I'm sharing it for the non-educated on jersey numbers like me. =)Surfs Up 99, Puka-head and Unlucky 13 like this. -
It was speculated that they'd retire 99 for JT when he made the HOF, but they haven't yet. No one has worn it since he left, though.

We have other numbers that seem to keep in circulation, given to important players. #23 was Troy Vincent, then Pat Surtain, then Ronnie Brown. I'd love to see it given to Iggy or a rookie RB.
Speaking of #8, did you know that no Dolphin ever wore it in a regular season game before 1998, when punter Klaus Wilmsmeyer did? Since then, its been Culpepper, Moore, and Osweiler. Tua could certainly make it his own.
Excluding strike games in 1987, the last QB to wear #15 was Earl Morrall. And the last QB to wear #16 and start more than one game was David Woodley. -
Wear Herbert's #, so I can pretend we actually picked the guy I wanted.
Naw wear #9. Yes I know that's Jay Fiedler's number, but it also happens to be Drew Brees #.
Maybe we can shake off some of that bad Juju for taking Culpooper over Brees. -
11 or 14 to go along with Greise and Marino. May be a little too on the nose though.
Not a jersey guy myself so I dont particularly care.#1 fan likes this. -

Mark Brunell was #8 I believe also. I liked him growing up.

I really hate anyone wearing #1, personally. Honestly, anything below #7 feel like kicker and punter numbers to me.

Quarterbacks jersey numbers should be 10-19, period. Anything under 10 is a kicker/punter.
Receivers should be wearing 80-89. This sudden phenomenon of receivers wearing teen numbers just pisses me offUnlucky 13 likes this. -

I think the best ever "number assignment" was for Oakland Raiders center Jim OttO , who wore #00. and played from 1960 to 1974.
Sorry this is not Dolphins-related content but I thought some here might find it interesting.
