Someone trying to stop your Draft watching pleasure?

Mike, like you I've been married to the same woman for a long time....30 yrs in June, but I have a slightly different take on this....by now, she knows that my one love in life (other than her and the kids) are the Fins and the draft...She knows I'll be down here, laptop in lap, beer, BBQ (probably ribs) and PIP set up to watch both NFLN and ESPN...so the playing sick and such just won't work, but she does know me well enough, that she never plans anything for the draft weekend, she usually doesn't bother me with anything and plans "safe" meals where I don't need to be involved. In fact, she doesn't even come into my 'man-cage' during the weekend, except to pass thru to the garage...but I could be the exception...I do the same for her on certain times of the year (like Oscar night, DWTS, etc)...so it goes both ways, I guess...either way, we plan the weekend out together, so that she knows what'll be going on. Now this year, I'm not having anyone at the house with me, but that hasn't always been the case...I'll say this much for her, when I have had guys over, it's been all my show, she usually takes off for the day and won't get involved in anything other than a pot of meatballs in the crock pot or something along those lines, so she has her feelings about losing the weekend as well, but the time we've been together has allowed us to work those things out...

Now, this is just one weekend, I do get more issues during the season on Sunday's, but that's another story...

I have a hard dilema, watch the draft, or get my groove on at a Jimmy Buffett concert. I think I'm taking Jimmy.

Draft day is marked on the calender and my wife doesn't plan anything on that weekend. No honey do's, just relax and watch the draft.

get up early and do all those chores before the draft starts. not only will she not have anything for you to do when the draft starts, she will be impressed and will most likely be too in shock to have you do anything else.

-Ribs cooked on the BBQ
- Corn on the cob cooked on BBQ
-Chips and Salsa from our local Mexican Restaurant

I kind of liked it for a change of pace when one of my Gf would take hold of the situation. :wink2: There was a certain perspective with their smaller hands that was kind of boost to the self esteem. Who needs Bob's fake blue pills? :lol:
