I hate to say this, but after reading these threads over the past few weeks I am shocked. There are people on this site who think we will win 3 or 4 or 5 or even 6 games this year !!!! Are you kidding me??? I wouldn't be surprised if we only won 1 or 2 at the most. The Raiders will beat us and the only 2 possibilities I see are the Chiefs or Rams.
I'm not trying to sound negative, but lets face it.....
We can't tackle
We can't run routes
We can't attempt a passing play more than 15 yds
We can't run the ball
We certainly can't cover our opponents
We can't apply pressure on the opposing QB's
We can't stop making silly penalties
We can't force turnovers
Like I said, not trying to sound negative, just stating the facts and trying to keep it real. Arizona will probably be drafting in the top 8-12 picks in next years draft but yesterday they looked like a super bowl contender against us. The play calling has to get better because we are the most predictable team in the NFL.

Miami will beat the Raiders. Last season was a fluke. We have their number. I can see three wins. It's not out of question that they'll steal a win from someone else too. I'm not expecting more than four though.
And Arizona will probably win that division. It looks like the Jets though might not be as good as we gave them credit for a week ago. They can't beat the Matt Cassell led Patriots? Not good. -
Any given Sunday. We match up horribly against AZ, but alot of teams would as well.
Not trying to sugar coat things as this is a bad football team, but I have a hard time believing Chad Pennington will only win 1 game as QB. Even with this rag-tag group.Ultra, dolphindebby, HULKFish and 2 others like this. -
Brother Jeff, I said 5-11. We are work in progress. It is not going to happen over night. We need to improve that is a fact. When I saw a Akin chasing Boldin from behind I knew we were in trouble. The Oline will gel better in week 8 or 9. We have definite issues in the secondary, and wr's. You could throw linebackers in there as well. I told you yesterday it was a hard game to watch in person. Will it get better yes. Is it going to happen today, obviously that answer is no. Let's see how Tony, and Jeff handle this. We have a lot of cap room next year, another draft. I understand your frustration, as I was a lot more yesterday. We have to see how things are handled, and look for improvements in the organization. This is week two. We got 14 more weeks to go. If you want come up for the New England game on Sunday, that way it will save you a phone call.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?????
Cmon, I saw you repeatedly dancing in the Aisles yesterday...
Woops, guess that dancing was actually a direct result of all the beers you were drinking to drown your sorrows...

Hey Brother, while I enjoy sarcasm as much as the next guy, I am only putting my thoughts out there not to overstate the obvious but to also bring everyone else down to reality. I visit this website everyday but I don't post much because of responses like yours. I'm as tired as you are of people stating the same stuff over and over, but the fact is there are waaaay too many people on here who think we can "steal" a win or just because we have Pennington he is a lock for at least 3 or 4 wins. It's all really silly if you think about it, but again it's just my very humble opinion sir.

I feel your pain, and you are correct in your assessment, but I agree with brother John. Things WILL turn-around, just not as quickly as we would like. This entire team has been spun around and reconstructed. It will take some time for them to gel, and of course our talent level was not even close to Arizona's yesterday.Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -

Man I wish I would got a picture of those two young cardinal fans heckling us with smack for 10 minutes. That would of made everyone laugh.

it's a team sport, and this loss yesterday highlights that more than anything of late. i blame our coaches 100% as we were NOT prepared for that game.
Sparano should be on a short leash if he isn't already. I realize we're only two games into the season, but i am VERY unimpressed with Sparano... I was more impressed with Cameron coaching at this time last year, honestly.... and this is more a slap at Sparano than an endorsement of Cameron. -

Very rarely does a bad team actually not improve and/or find ways to win a few games each year. Sometimes things don't change from early in the season, but most times they do. A lot of our problems won't get better this season. But I don't see why it's so unbelievable to think we can't win 3 games. Hell we almost beat the 'win now' Jets last week. :)Big E and Fin Fan In Cali like this. -
I don't think any one here is sugar coating it. We all saw what happened the first two games and we all know we are an awful, AWFUL football team that is going to win 4 games tops.Click to expand...
In preseason predictions, well, everyone has high hopes in the preseason and for good reason. In the NFL, any team can become the cinderella team in any season. Excitement is warranted and should be encouraged. -

For someone not trying to sound negative, you certainly we're awfully negative...however, can't argue too much with you. Unfortunately, the coaching doesn't seem to have improved from last year either...

The difference between this regime and the last one goes way farther than coaching. This coach and his staff have complete control over the locker room, and all aspects of the team. The last one did not. Head coach is a rookie too, he's going to make mistakes. Like said earlier, the Cardinals on paper are incredibly talented and decided to remind the world how talented they were against us. We were one play away from winning wk 1. This week we got hammered by mismatches and better talent. Its going to happen.

This team is pretty much the same as an expansion team with all of the changes across the board. Its just my opinion but I don't think there is any other NFL team that has had as many wholesale changes as the Dolphins have had in the last few years. Look at how many quarterbacks and offensive lines we have gone through except for Carey. Look at the changes in wide receivers and tight ends. Except for a very few exceptions, you name it, we've changed it and that includes all the head coaches and their staffs, general managers all the way up to Parcells new position.
This is a major job and it takes time and patience, sure I get aggrivated and frustraited and will gripe some but I know what the reality is and that is it may take a couple or more years before this team is returned to respectability.
I do find it refreshing though that we do finally have a draft where some of the players may stick around for awhile and not become instant camp fodder. -
It is a natural phenomenon for fans to think postively about their team. I have said all along I'll be happy with 5 wins this year, as long as I see progress or the right actions pointing us in the right direction.
As a fan who loves this team, our preseason record of 3-1 gave me a false sense of hope and I actually was thinking maybe we win 6-7 games. The first two games have brought us back to reality, which is we are a 1-15 team that needs a LOT more talent and some continuity in the coaching level.
We will still get better this year, and I still think we win 5 games, but we're going to have to temper our enthusiasm for a few games because for a while we will continue to really suck.
What frustrates me are all the "trade ..." or "start ..." threads. We need continuity, these kids need time to play together and the coaches need time to teach, we need one thing on this site more than anything else: PATIENCE.sgtphin likes this.
