:tantrum::angry:...I know, it doesn't mean a thing unless you win. Though it still pisses me off!

It really pisses me off that both of these teams which we nearly beat, one if not for a botched call, are playing in the Superbowl in our house. Now, that's throwing salt on the wound:tongue2: :tantrum:

    Sorry, I'm still a little bitter......:pity:

I dont care what the record says, we beat the Saints.

As for the Colts I highly respect them for coming through against us. They were not given the game, they fought hard until the end.

You gotta admit the two teams in the Super Bowl this season are worthy contenders.
Hopefully soon we won't have to say only if.

Yep. They're both quality teams and both QBs are well deserving, high character guys, IMO.

I hear you bro on this thread, but we couldn't seal the deal on either team. In the NFL you can be winning most of the game, but if you can't close it, then we know what happens.:wink2:

We never had a chance to seal the deal against the Saints due to bad calls.

Think he means the coaching ones. :escape:

heh Just kidding, but yeah up 21 and you lose it's hard to put it all on the refs even if they do blow one or two plays. People remember that strip in the endzone but the play before the half was pretty huge too. If the Saints receiver had been correctly called short of the goal line, which he was after review, and not a touchdown then the clock would have expired and we go in the half up 21. Instead, it's called a touchdown which stops the cloak and gives them an opportunity to kick a FG after review... then Sparano calls the timeout and Drew does his little leap. That one stung a little.

I don't know Dj. He was pretty much non existant in the first game. In the second game, he wasn't very good either. But, he didn't have much help. Ted Ginn dropped like 3 passes.

When all is said and done, the only thing that either team will remember is who got the 'W' and who got the 'L'. Now, next season, if we should play either team, they may think back to how tough the wins came for them, but that's also another story. Good teams find ways to win...we didn't...

This just reminded how atrocious that fumble call was. I still can't believe they didn't call it a fumble. That sports illustrated photo showed that it was not even a hard call to make.

Our late season collapse makes me feel a bit better about these losses. If we win the Saints game I'm not sure we still dont lose the late season games and wind up 8-8 and out of the playoffs. The game that bothers me most is the 2nd Buffalo game. That was a game we didnt show up in and to me that is abbsolutely unforgivable

What do you mean how? They made adjustments as the game went on and their offense torched our defense.

You can't blow off a bad call that accounted for such a huge point and momentum swing. You're talking about the difference between the Saints pulling within seven or being down by 14 and not even having possession anymore. This is huge.
