There is no doubt in my mind, Supernatural is the best show nobody is watching. The CW only feels it's necessary to promote great scripted dramas like, "Gossip Girl" and "90210."
Every Thursday at 9, FYI.
What did everyone think of episode two? I thought it was weaker then the premiere, but it setup the angels and demons storyline. I think the new direction is promising.
Bobby had some funny lines tonight, but Dean didn't deliver the good snark. I miss Katie Cassidy. New Ruby just bugs me... And speaking of Ruby, am I missing something or is Sam hooking up with her?
It would be interesting if we get a Lucifer vs. God showdown of some kind. Who knows how many seasons this show has left (CW sucks). I also hope the new direction doesn't cut in to the other "supernatural" beings the show uses.

I REALLY like the new direction of the show. It brings common sense and balance to the show. 2nd episode was great. This one was just okay, but needed for the season's direction. Although, I don't get how Sam can be a bad *** sending demons to hell, but get his *** kicked by a ghost :confused2:
That's probably the only thing that bugs me about the show. Sam had that episode (season 2 I think) where his powers were somewhat revealed aside from the dream thing. Then we didn't get anything at all until this season. Didn't make any sense.
I really miss the old Ruby. Not only was she hotter, but she was much more charismatic.
I don't think it will cut into the normal stuff. Tonight was a very typical episode in terms of the structure and use of normal supernatural stuff, and yet they kept the season's plot moving very well.
I hope we don't get a God vs. Devil show down. That would be a huge disappointment for me. I do expect that type of theme, but only with them as behind the scenes influences. -

Why does this show sound eerily similar to Reaper?

I want to get into this show, is it too late? What season are they in?Click to expand...
Think X-Files without an overwhelming mythology (they have a few x-files writers, buffy writers, etc...). A lot of the season is anthology too. Werewolves one ep, vamps the next.
I'll get you a website with eps you can watch online.

The start of season 4. This show isn't LOST. You can jump in at any time.

Season 1 is good, but the show finds it's mojo in season 2 (great eps all over the place).
I'll give you a quick summary.
Dean and Sam are brothers who were raised by their father to be "hunters." Hunters are those that hunt the supernatural (ghosts, demons, vampires, etc...).
When Sam (the younger brother) was 6 months old a Demon (yellow eyes demon they call him) makes Sam ingest demon blood. Their mother walked in on them and the demon pinned her to the ceiling and lit her on fire.
This causes the father to go psycho and become a hunter. He is considered one of the best and trains the boys as they get older. He neglects them and both boys have father issues.
In season 1 the family reunites after Sam walks out on them (dad is a dick). The father is missing after he tells dean he has a lead on the YED. Dean gets Sam and they try to track their dad down, along the way, using their dads journal to hunt down the supernatural.
They find their dad and YED and the YED reveals he had plans for Sam. Sam is suppose to be the leader of the upcoming demon army and has psychic ability. He can have more powers if he trains them (the often joke is Sam is a Jedi). After the YED almost kills the 3 Winchesters, the father sells his soul to save his Son Dean.
Season 2- The boys hunt and try to figure out what do without their dad. Eventually this leads to the finale where the YED holds a fight to the death challenge with these "special" kids. Sam gets killed after he refuses to kill the last remaining guy (Jake) and the guy kills Sam.
Dean goes to the crossroad Demon (you meet her in "crossroad blues" in season 2, a really great episode) to make a deal. If she brings back Sam (from the dead) He gets one year to live.
Dean takes the deal and Sam and Dean go after YED. YED uses Jake to open up the "devil's gate" (a door to hell). It's more intricate then it sounds, but it's a pain to explain.
Dean and Sam kill the YED after their dad goes through the devils gate and helps out. However the gate to hell was opened and all sorts of demons are left out.
Season 3- Sam and Dean hunt down those demons who were released and try to get Dean out of his deal. Dean ends up being killed and goes to hell as per the deal. Season was sort due to the strike. 13 eps I think. It was too rushed as a result, but great anthology eps.
Season 4- Only two eps in, you'll see.finswin56, Motion and USArmyFinFan like this. -

Definitely underrated. I love the show. The first three seasons were great, this one has been great so far and has a ton of promise. Everyone I've gotten to watch the show loves it. Well if Smallville can stick around for like 8 seasons or whatever its on this show might stick around that long.

Problem is, the ratings aren't there. Smallville is the #1 show on the CW. If the CW promoted SPN it would be bigger, IMO. This show is the X-files without a confusing mythology.
Tonights episode was AWESOME. Seriously one of my favorites. The back story of the Winchester's was very cool.
I also love that A.D. Skinner (X-files) was the grandfather. The Angels and Demons storyline is really looking good. Next week looks awesome too. Any idea of what their hunting?Big E likes this. -
Def. looks like Sam is the angels main concern right now.

Yup. Sam has really changed (as the yellow eyed demon suggested in the s2 finale). He was begging Dean to kill him, so he wouldn't go dark side. Now? It looks like a showdown of sorts could be in order.

I agree Supernatural has to be by far one of the best shows on TV to bad not recognized that way. I am rewatching the seasons and the new ones are awesome.
Introduction of angels was a awesome twist. I was expecting some big bad *** demon but turns out to be a angel. He does a good job as the role also, feels more distant than demons do personality wise.
It will be interesting how this plays out with sam no doubt.
I agree also, it doesn't ever feel like, hey we seen this episode before. They always seem to do something new and I love it. -
