Rocky RaccoonmoderatorOPQuick story: Receiver Mike Wallace was running routes recently when Tannehill – impressed by his blazing speed - told him he should go only half speed.
“I am going half speed,” Wallace responded, according to Tannehill.
“Everything I heard about him coming in has proved to be true – he’s as advertised,” Tannehill said. “He’s the fastest guy I’ve ever thrown to. It’s exciting.”
Tannehill’s rookie metrics offer promising signs about his ability to hit Wallace on deep routes.

The Dolphins were very impressed by how rookie rookie cornerbacks Jamar Taylor and Will Davis looked in rookie minicamp. One source said they appeared more polished than Vontae Davis and Sean Smith in their first minicamps.

Why does it have to be from a coach? It could be from a player, or even a different writer, or ANYBODY for that matter. A SOURCE can be ANYBODY.

I'm anxious for things to get under way, like most anyone following football is, and there's always excitement and expectations this time of year with every team every year... It's still nice to hear positive things....
On the flip side, when was the last time you heard anyone say that player X didn't do well in the ROOKIE minicamp ??

It's entirely possible both of these rookies take their jobs much more seriously than Sean Smith or Vontae Davis ever did as rookies. That could be what they mean by more polished.
Maybe these guys are fundamentally more sound, whereas Vontae and Smith were drafted higher because of their size, metrics, and potential athletic ability

sports24/7subscriberConsider: According to ProFootballFocus.com, Tannehill completed 43.1 percent of passes thrown 20 yards or more, which was seventh best in the league, trailing only Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan.
I found this interesting. I always found it funny when people (and I've heard this a lot) say Tannehill needs to work on throwing deep and suggest he struggled with it. I thought he did a nice job in this area especially considering Hartline was his fastest WR, and really the only one with any ability to go deep.
