Eh, then again there were several completions that were short of the yd marker on 3rd down.

Get em tanny! Not worth 8th overall!? BS!

Tannehill also holds the record for Most times blinking his eyes pre-snap while also wearing his left sock 1/4 of an inch higher than the right, as a rookie QB

Great statistic. So happy that I think we have finally found our franchise QB.

Great news, however Id like to see him start taking a few more shots downfield now. I guess the problem there however is our WR's dont have enough talent to win their one on one matchups down field. I don't see the gameplan changing much from quick, short passes until we upgrade that position. Hoping Gaffney coming into the mix after the bye week helps that.
As for receptions short of the first down markers... blame your WR's there, not the QB. It's their job to make sure they're past the sticks.dolfan7171 likes this. -

Yeah I'm not really sure where our opponents have looked at the game film and figured that it would be a great idea to blitz Tannehill. Granted he's not hitting the big play many times on it, but he is making a lot of good plays against the all out blitz. I would love to see Sherman give the kid a check off play to really counter the blitz, just a screen pass to Reggie or something of the sorts. It really just shows that teams don't respect our deep game when you see the saftey up in the box all the time, we have to start taking some shots down the field to keep teams honest.

Simply put, in a few years, everyone in the national media will be talking about Tannehill the way they talk about Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers today - in complete control of their respective teams, and absolute stud QBs. Can't wait, and will enjoy the ride in the meantime.

Where is the OP seeing this stat? I'm not seeing it on that website. Post direct link please?
I'm curious how many times he is rushed with 5 or more as opposed to the rest of the NFL. My guess is he's in the top 3 in the league given A) his experience and B) the limited options he has to throw to in beating the blitz. -

Sorry if this is OT, but ESPN is saying what I've posted several times after beating the Rams. Add to that the huge amount of cap space and loads of draft picks Ireland has accumulated, we should be able to re-sign most of our key players who's contracts will be up in 2013, and we should be able to draft 3 positions I see us needing the most: #1 WR, a shut-down CB, and if Egnew doesn't develop as far as we hope, then TE would be 3rd on my wish list. -

He's gonna get fined for the sock. :shifty:
