Oh JT,just get to camp already!!
-
oh jesus......
-
:pity:
The more the guy opens his mouth, the more selfish he sounds. Leading by example starts at these voluntary workouts, it shows commitment, dedication and it shows his teammates that they're all in this together. JT on the otherhand is hopping from one media outlet to the next, from one luncheon with Denzel Washington to the next. He's putting himself above the team and sending the messege that these workouts and practices really don't mean anything. I don't blame Parcells one bit for ignoring him.
Also, is it just me or does it seem like JT is trying to get himself released? That way he saves face with the fans and media more than he would if he just came out and retired. The only reason I ask is because a guy who loves football wouldn't repeatedly piss off his new boss by blowing off camps/workouts. -
Way to pour gasoline on the fire JT.
He is just trying to line up deals while the 'buzz' on him is hot. It is coming at the expense of his rep as a football player. I always thought he was out for himself, unlike Zach, and this just puts the nail in the coffin.
The people in LA will blow smoke up his butt about how great an actor he will be.Last edited: May 20, 2008 -
There is absolutely nothing new here. We all knew, and talked for weeks now, that he would do these appearances immediately after the show, including a celebrity golf tourney. I think people are beginning to just enjoy bashing JT now.

This solidifies more and more why Zach Thomas was always my favorite football player and not JT....
i read a story where zach was back from the probowl after about 6 days and was at the dolphins facility working out.....

Exactly, and when we consider that he is going to have to learn a new position, his selfishness is all the worse upon a closer examination.
I would not be surprised if JT is moved to the bottom of the depth chart I think that would be the thing to do to reply to his actions.
I'd rather have a Quentin Moses who is here, then a JT who doesn't want to be here.like2god likes this. -
As far as Parcells goes, I also grew up a Giants fan. I've been following him since he was promoted to Giants HC in '83, and not only am I not suprised by his actions, but not concerned the slightest by them either. -

Geez guys, this is getting ridiculous. -
But if brady called JT after he was cut, jason would sign there in a heartbeat....he has a man crush on brady and that team -

he has reconstructed his contract multiple times to help this franchise get more cap space to sign more players, or get us over the hump....tuna comes in and hes expendible, so they cut him, how does that translate to ZT bolting?! He would have stayed in miami, he said so himself, but they cut him so he had to move on.... -
Believe me bro, I worked in the film and television business for years. In that business, it's not "Here today, gone tomorrow", it more like "Here today, gone later today". I'm all for him taking the opportunity when it knocks, because when the door closes, it can close for good.

JT is a heck of a football player, but was never comfortable with being a leader. Whenever he was put on the spot, he usually said something dumb.
I don't know why people insist he magically change his routine. -
"Whatever antagonism exists - and a good bit surely does, by now - is rooted in Taylor's desire to do what's best for himself even if the Dolphins view that as a disservice to the team."
-
My point. He should concentrate on what he's good at and what everyone knows he's good at. Instead, he may go to hollywood, suck, and be out of hollywood by the time he's 35.
He deserves to learn a lesson. Stop taking your football ability for granted to pursue a huge '?', where there's a good chance you'll fail miserably and wish you had played football as long as your were good. -

Im so sick of hearing about this... and this article makes it even worse. I really wish we could have traded him now, even if we dropped our demends and got less than a second rounder, anything is better than having to deal with this crap on a daily basis. I was fine with him doing the show, but missing camp now too... thats just ridiculous. Youre still under contract, you have a job to do. Shut up, show up and do it!!! I hope we can fine him or something for not showing up, this is getting ridiculous. I love the guy and all, but come on...

Well, I'm feeling like many of you and really getting tired of hashing on negative aspects of the franchise right now. We're all DOLFANS and there is so much going on right now that is positive there's no sense in my mind on focusing on one of the few negative aspects of the team. The Parcells - Taylor issues will resolve itself over time.
I look forward to seeing which vets get cut and hopfully we can find a few more contributors!jason8er likes this. -
