There's this channel called ESPN, you may have heard of it. We don't need their circus and I'm sorry but there is nothing he could add to our team.

 

Tebow's done as a pro. It is what it is.

 

This is a joke right? First of all, the media circus isn't worth it at all. Secondly, how can you say he can play anywhere? He only wants to play QB and has never played another position other than personal protector (where the Dolphins exposed him). He's never proven he can block or catch a pass. He would probably be the 4th best QB on the Dolphins. He'd never get on the field and would use a roster spot that could go to someone who could actually do something at their position. I don't see any way why this would be a good idea.

You have to be dedicated to run some sort of hybrid system if your gonna attempt to use the strengths of the player, and that system has to be what he ran in college, so if your not ready to commit to him in that capacity then bringing him on in another capacity doesn't quite make sense..

 

No thanks. And to think Tebow beat us on his own in THAT game. Never rated him as a bonafide QB. Tanny and Moore are just fine thankyou very much.

Everything you said is spot on......but, no.

He could be 3rd sting long snapper and never see the field and headlines would still read "Tebow makes the playoffs" or "Tebow thinks dolphins can win" eff that.

 

The few teams which had interest in him after his release from the Jets claimed that Tebow stated he has no interest in playing any position except QB.

The Dolphins are already set at the QB position and since Tebow doesn't seem to want to play any other position, he would actually be a horrible addition to the Dolphins. Fortunately it appears the Dolphins have zero interest in signing Tebow. I would be surprised if any NFL team signs him. His best chances to remain in football is for him to go up to Canada or to play in the Arena league.

Perhaps he could play in one of these leagues and it would help him become a better passer. It worked for QB's like Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, and Joe Thiesman. All these QB's played in one of these leagues and they eventually showed that they had the passing skills to play in the NFL. Tebow has yet to show he has these passing skills and unless he does, I don't see him ever playing in the NFL again.

When all 32 teams have basically said they have no interest in him as a QB at this time. It is up to Tebow to either go to one of these other leagues to try and improve his passing skills or else call it a career and get on with the next stage of his life. He seems to be a great guy and he has a level head. So I am sure he will be a success in whatever occupation he decides to pursue once he realized that he isn't going to be offered the opportunity to be an NFL QB in 2013 or probably ever again.

Tebow is useless. Completely useless. Especially to Miami. The circus that follows him around, is NOT what this team needs. A QB that CANT THROW is NOT what this team needs.

1. He's a winner? Yeah... he did lots of that last year with the Jets didn't he? He couldn't even sniff the field with as awful as Sanchez was...
2. Team play and fan favorite? Who freakin cares!!! We have a solid locker room as it is right now, we dont need the Tebow circus for a special teams player.
3. Back up, 3rd QB? No thanks. Rather have Devlin. Wildcat?? Are you kidding me... in case you haven't realized we have an actual offense now. An actual QB. An actual offensive minded head coach and OC. We dont need Tebow to run the stupid wildcat any longer. That's come, and gone in the NFL already.
4. Special teams holder.... seriously? You want to use a roster spot on Tebow, and bring in the ridiculous circus that comes along with him just to have the option to run, or pass from a FG formation? Yikes...
5. Leader... sure, he has leadership qualities. No doubt. Do you really want your 3rd QB, or FG holder, to be your teams leader?

Zero need for him on this roster in any capacity. Let me repeat the important part of this again.. Tebow is useless. Completely useless. Especially to Miami. If he actually humbles out and is willing to play tight end or fullback.... I wouldn't mind signing him next offseason and working with him. But as it is.... I can't roger that.

 

I like Tebow more then most do, however, also think he has to sharpen his Qb skills.

IMO, he should suck it up, and go to the CFL and learn his craft better. True he could be a good backup in say SF, but until he is a better fundamental Qb he simply is to inconsistent atm.

He reminds me of Joe Kapp, who won a lot of football games in the NFL

Fortunately Ireland and Philbin are wise enough to see that Tebow really offers nothing to the Dolphins offense. If they thought about Tebow the way you do, I am sure they would have already signed him to a contract.

While I agree that the Jets were an incompetent organization last year. The fact the Broncos couldn't wait to get rid of Tebow after the 2011 season, should show you that even competent organizations want nothing to do with Tebow.

I think if he were willing to come in and try and make the team as a RB or a TE, he would be worth taking a chance on. Since he is the one stating that he only wants to play QB, I see nothing positive from the Dolphins bringing him in as their fourth string QB.

As far as Tebow being a victim. He has been paid millions of dollars over the past three years for being a subpar NFL player. Hopefully he has invested most of this money and he will be set for life financially. I am sure there are many people on here and in the rest of the world who would love being this type of victim.

 

He's not even got the first facet you need for a pro QB, ie. can he pass the ball consistently, never mind multifaceted!

Until he proves that, and as others have said he can and should do that in the CFL, then he's not going to be an NFL QB and no NFL team is going to take him on as a non-QB with a circus in tow.

 

Putting aside his actual quality and that you've basically got to have a second parallel offense installed for him...

You mean the intelligence of a HS QB? Intelligent pro QBs don't get called for as many delay of games as Tebow, nor struggle so badly to read defenses, or even go through progressions.

I dunno about that, I think there are plenty worse players in the NFL still around. The Problem with Tim is the circus around him it's a distraction all around for a team especially a team that's rebuilding. However I honestly think with his size, speed and his college playing he would make a good TE. He's big, fast and can run with the ball. He took many big hits in college so he can go across the middle. I dunno maybe im crazy but I think he could contribute somewhere! That said not sure we should bring him in...He does outside the circus seem to be a Philbin type player with good character..

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that most NFL types don't think that Tebow can help their team. He's a media and fan darling but terrible football player. He doesn't bring enough as a QB, is not athletic enough to play slot or H-Back, can't block well enough to play FB, can't catch well enough to do any good in the passing game as a receiver. Is just barely adequate to be called a QB....he was a great college QB...so was Gino Torretta. He just isn't very good as a pro....anything...

Bottom line, he's a media darling and nothing more... The only fans who love him are Gator fans ?? And he was great for them, but this is the NFL...he's just not NFL material...

 

Tebow can contribute to the Dolphins by staying as far away as he can!

 

1.) He is a winner but he's not the REASON his teams win. The Jets were awful last year and he contributed to that circus.

2.) I disagree that he is a "total team player". If he was he would be quiet when it was required or stamp out controversy when it starts, he does neither. He's only a fan favourite because of the mythos ESPN and Tim Tebow have created around himself. I think he is a sideshow.

3.) A 3rd QB is a developmental prospect. I am not burning a roster spot on a gimmick player when we can groom a Pat Devlin. He does not have a position to play. He is not a fullback, he is not an H-Back....he is a failed gimmick quarterback, period. Again, not burning a roster spot. He's barely a 3rd string player at any position you just listed.

4.) We have a holder. I don't think he has ever done it anyway. How often does a team run a fake field goal? Once every year or two? Is that worth a roster spot and the circus?

5.) The reason he is available is because he is not any good, at anything in particular. He's also a travelling circus. I don't consider him a good leader either.

To put it simply, he is a circus. Brings distractions a young ascending team does not need. Tim Tebow is a product of the ESPN promotional machine. He is a self promoting nobody. His time was short and is mercifully done.

As for people saying "he will play in the CFL", there is no way. To be a CFL quarterback you need to be able to throw the ball consistently and accurately....something he has never shown he can do at any level.

 

C'mon Padre, you know the CFL and you know he has no chance up here. He has nothing that CFL teams look for in a quarterback.

 

He has never expressed an interest in moving to another position. He holds on to the illusion that he is a competent NFL QB. He isn't. If he ever said, he wanted to move to RB or H-Back, then yeah maybe I'd say give him a try.

His problem is his accuracy is just spotty, he can nail the hard throw and botch the dump off, that comes from not playing enough to develop imo.

 

Ugh, I am SO sick of hearing about this kid, but I'm even more sick of hearing how he's a "winner". No, he's not. In my opinion you actually have to play well at your position in order to be called a winner, as opposed to being bailed out by everyone else on your team consistently.

He makes his team worse, not better. You can't be a "winner" if you make your team worse by stepping out onto the field.

 

I agree with Padre. The CFL is his only chance. The QB he most resembles to me is either Joe Kapp, who was successful in the CFL despite being a running QB who could throw no better than Tebow, or Bobby Douglass, another athletic lefty who had an inaccurate cannon for an arm, but could run as well as Tebow. Has the CFL changed that much since the days of Kapp? Seriously, I don't know. Far as I know, the basic rules are the same. I'm thinking if Kapp could be successful in the CFL then why not Tebow?
