I'd love to see the Pats punished hard...but I also feel like if they do poorly due to Brady being suspended or something, then any wins over them won't be considered legit. I can already imagine gloating to my Pats friends about wins, and it will be all the excuses about not having Brady, blah blah blah. It just won't be satisfying, like stomping them WITH Brady would be.

I disagree. In 2008 that dismantling of the Patriots in Foxborough felt oh so good. Winning the division felt incredible!

The only way ill be completely satisfied with tge result of this is draft picks, suspensions, and Goodell's firing. He is as much at fault as the Patriots for this.

Of course Brady was "manipulating balls." Gisele is merely the hottest beard in history.

The Pats fans deflection is strong on my Facebook page. I have people accusing me misrepresenting the report by saying that the Patriots cheated.

I hate Patriots fans. Ignorant and uninformed.

Sounds to me like Tom Brady is setting up a lawsuit, he's keeping quiet about the whole situation.. and using the crowd and the mommy/daddy stuff to win cheap applause.

The two employees had to turn over their phones as they were NE Patriot property which in turn is NFL property. If I'm one of the other 31 owners I'm calling Goodell and telling him he better not let them off. If I'm Tom Benson, the owner of the Falcons or Browns I'm definitely going after Goodell and telling him that Brady better get 4 games minimum for cheating on the field of play. That organization spits in the face of the NFL time and again. Time for the other 31 teams who pay Goodell to put a stamp on Kraft.

Their cell phones are property of the NE Patriots? Are they on the family plan or something lol?

I don't know if they are or are not, but having a business supplied cell phone is not a crazy thing.

Not sure he wants that. His phone records would then be subject to a subpoena if i'm not mistaken.

Right. But Tom Brady has his own apparently, and they work for the same business.

I love this exchange:

Brady: "I haven't had enough time to fully digest it"
Report: "Are you that slow of a reader?"

Same thing here bud, I have 11 Patriots fans in my family. They can't admit that they cheated and all they do is talk about how every team cheats. They posted links about the Dolphins supposedly cheated several years ago which i haven't even read yet because I am too busy posted all the information from the Well's report that they are ignorant of and probably don't even read and if they did, they would have an excuse or point the finger at another team.

according to mike giardi of comcast sports net here in new england, sources close to the patriots are worried about a "lengthy" suspension for brady in the range of 6-8 games.

This is what my patriot fan uncle has to say in response to the Ted Wells investigation:

You should remind your Uncle that we got fined a first round draft pick for the Shula incident.

There was also some clever editing going on with the JJ quote. Here is the entire quote:

This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout. I tried it, but I didn't think it helped us. Bill Belichick was wrong because he videotaped signals after a memo was sent out to all teams saying not to do it. But what irritates me is hearing some reactions from players and coaches.

These players don't know what their coaches are doing, and some of the coaches have selective amnesia because I know for a fact there were various teams doing this. That's why the memo was sent to everybody. That doesn't make Belichick right, but a lot of teams are doing this.

Fans that make this argument are no different than a 3 year old that says, "But so and so did it!!" upon getting caught.

goodell should suspend him for not cooperating with Wells. Send the message that if you try to juke the system, its the same as lying, which goodell has punished people for.
