In honor of the one of the greatest posters this site has ever known.
I mean I can’t continue to make this stuff up.
First the Roger’s went to Egypt during mandatory practices drama, after scolding the team for not being all in.
Then Hassan Reddick scenario which is just so cool.:) nice job on that Douglas.
Then the news that saleh “dead man walking” as I’ve been calling him for a year“…as former players say he’s just sucking the teet of Roger’s lol.
Check this new one out… strait from jet magazine :)
So much for Lewis Cine becoming the tenth first-round pick on the Jets roster. After multiple reports said yesterday that Cine was on his way to Florham Park to become a Jet, he has had a change of heart.
Instead Cine will head upstate to join the Buffalo Bills according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.”
lol this is beautiful man, where are all those jet fans that like to come to the site?
Thought so.

“I hope Reddick comes to his senses and reports. He's an excellent player who helps Jet's defense.
I am more than ok if he sits out. Jets have a good defense. And they sure do need the cap space to sign some of their young players coming of their rookie deals.
Jets win either way”
From jets nation lol

I thought this was a thread devoted to the late great Dolphins fan and ThePhins favorite poster “Jetssuck”, not a NY Jets thread in the Dolphins forum.
There is an AFC East thread you know?dolphin25 likes this. -

And 3 weeks later this thread is dead, but loaded with irony. In a nutshell it's pretty much just like our season.

Rodgers, the TD machine, The Jest missing piece. Oh well.

Zach Wilson was looking on at the Jets offensive output, saying “I coulda done that”

No, but he could have led them to single digit scoring for a lot less than Rodgers did, lol. A big part of Rodgers’ success is his ability to move around and extend plays; that ability looks to be greatly diminished.Born_in_'72 likes this. -
That said he's getting too old to consistently run all over the place making highlight reel throws. If the Jets want to win with him, then they better get him some protection that can maintain a clean pocket consistently. Hopefully they won't.Last edited: Sep 29, 2024 -
As a 58 (59 next week) year old man who was still athletically active at 40, let me just say you don’t have the same pep in your step at 40 as you did at 30, or 20 for that matter.
Rodgers is not going to be a significant threat scrambling or running the ball. You lose a gear once you hit middle age.
Oh, and now that I think about it
THE JETS SUCK!!!!!!!Born_in_'72 likes this. -

No Nix had negative 6 yards passing in the first quarter. -6. On 8 passes.
And ARon couldn’t beat that?
Jester forums must be fun tonight.
I almost want to think about setting aside a brief moment, maybe while I’m cleaning up the dog poop, to feel sorry for jester fans. But I’m not quite there yet.Born_in_'72 and danmarino like this. -

Posting in week 3 as if the Jets were going to be some juggernaut and didn’t suck is funny to me.

Anything???
Nope, still not feeling sorry for the Yetis fans.Fishhead, Born_in_'72 and danmarino like this. -
Saleh was exposed imo two off seasons ago imo and fortunately they kept him on for us to dismantle, Tuas owns that defense.
Went on the record and said he would get fired by midseason this season for my findings. “ dead man walking”
only bad news is for us is they fired him finally.

The last time the Jets were relevant, and a good football team was the Rex Ryan era. Woody Johnson though had no patience. The Jets would kick butt one season, falter the next only to return to form the following season. Luckily for us Johnson idiotically fired Ryan...and they've returned to true form...S-U-C-K, suck suck suck!!!!

The head coach works FOR the GM so if Ross were to fire Grier, he’d have to hire a GM that truly wants McDaniel as his head coach and subscribes to McDaniel’s football philosophy. Not saying there isn’t a GM candidate out there would, but usually a GM starts from scratch.
While most of us seem to support McDaniel, I worry that if Grier goes, so would McDaniel by proxy, and we’d be in rebuild mode all over again. -
I don't think Mcdaniel is a terrible coach but not convincrd he has what it takes to get us over the hump. I would not be against firing Grier and starting over from scratch.
Keeping Mcdaniel is not a good enough reason not to fire Grier.Sceeto likes this. -
If our OL was a strength and not a weakness…the weakness, with McDaniel’s extensive experience as the run game coordinator in San Francisco would result in the Dolphins committing more to the run, but since our line falters in the trenches, McDaniel commits more to the air. -

While you’re right that a lot of coaches these days are players coaches, there are those who have commanded respect and therefore are disciplinarians per se through that earned respect.
I look at Andy Reid and even though he is deemed player friendly, I doubt anyone would disagree that is Andy says it, there’s NO ARGUMENT…it’s done! He’s earned that respect.
Granted, the Andy Reids of the NFL are few and far in between but Andy Reid has been the most successful head coach in the last decade.Born_in_'72 likes this.
