Here is everything you need to know about the franchise. What do you think the percent chance is that the following people return to the franchise next season?
Tannenbaum
Gase
Landry
My guess is:
Tannenbaum - 90%
Gase - 98%
Landry - 45%

Landry - 75% -
You can mark all of them at 100%... ross isnt making any changes until/only if 2018 is a failure like this one.
2018 is a no excuses season.
And what i mean by that is.. okay tannehill got injured again which means hes been injured/inactive for part of 2016 and the entire 2017. You got a legitimate excuse for having a losing season there.
Now youre on 2018, which means youre going to address the position incase Tannehill gets injured again. Vets like alex smith, foles, Keenum, etx will be available. A very deep quarterback draft is also available. Make sure you address the position for the upcoming season incase Tannehill goes down again because now theres no excuse unless the team plane crashed.KeyFin likes this. -
I think Tannebaum should be 0%, but we have Ross as the owner and therefore it is 100% Tannebaum will return.
Gase will get another year because he earned a third year by leading the Dolphins to the playoffs in 2016 and he lost his starting QB before the season even started. Of course the fact he was responsible for Ross having to spend $10 million dollars on a below average QB this season should be enough to put him on the hot seat next year if the Dolphins don’t make the playoffs.
As far as Landry is concerned, the front office loves to give a lot of money to below average players which unfortunately means that it is going to be difficult for them to sign Landry after the season is over.
It will not surprise me in the least to see Landry in a Patriots uniform next year. Because the FO of the Dolphins just don’t have a clue what they are doing and Belichick will figure a way to sign Landry in free agency if he decides to go after him.
As far as this season is concerned. I blame a lot of the season on Tannehill and his refusal to have the knee surgery immediately after he was injured in 2016. The fact he couldn’t even make it to the first preseason game before he went down for the season is completely on him, IMO.
Of course the defense was once again putrid for most of the season, so even with a fully healthy Tannehill, this team likely would not have made the playoffs. Yet with Cutler and Moore as the QB’s,
and a bottom ten defense, 6 or possible 7 wins could be considered a miracle and about the best we could have imagined going into the season.Kud_II likes this. -
I'd say it's unlikely we'll make any changes to the front office and I don't see us firing our head coach. Both will get at least next season before they'l be fired.
As for Landry, well, I'd day his chances of returning are probably 50-50. Does he want to comeback? If he doesn't, then he can make things difficult by holding out if they tag him. If he does then it should be a done deal. However, the way they featured Grant today showed that some of Landry's production could be replaced by other players at a cheaper cost, thus allowing us to use the spare change to strengthen the side at other positions. With Stills and Parker (I'm still not sold on his long term future here), plus any furher addition in the draft to go along with Grant and Cardio, and maybe they'll consider letting Landry walk or tagging and trading him? -

Tannenbaum should be fired just for the contracts he's dished out alone, and I'm not even talking about Suh, although that was still ridiculous nonetheless.
But thanks to Stephen Loss. I'm not confident anyone will be fired.
I don't have a problem with Gase getting another shot really, one last shot however. It's not like there's a lot of options out there and we were without a starting caliber QB. Course I wouldn't shed any tears if he got replaced either. It's just a simple equation of, who else could do better? There's no big names available. We could always pick a coordinator off a winning team and hope for the best.
But, I'm not personally after Gase (this offseason.) I want Tannenbaum out, but I don't think I'll get that Christmas miracle since Ross is inept.
93% Tannenbaum stays
99% Gase stays
55% Landry stays if Tannenbaum does 25% if he doesn't. -

PS - I am in the illuminati and did hack the election, but as far as the Miami Dolphins message board, nope.Fin-O likes this. -
People, please stop the witch hunts among posters.
Gase will likely get 4-5 years barring abyss next season. You need a coach and a QB for a complete buy-in. Most teams have ups and downs every year. NFL records are an ebb and flow for the most part. You just want to see a coach that can get you to the playoffs every year. So far, we're 1/2. I think if you give the coach a good roster then you start stealing byes and home field advantages.
Oakland last year vs. this year. Jags previous couple years vs. this year. Saints previous couple years vs. this year. Etc. Etc.
Best to be patient and see if he can produce consistently-successful seasons. We had a flash in the pan last year, and unfortunate circumstances/bad complementary football this year. But he's shown he can do it. I think we just need to continue to get younger.tirty8 likes this. -
Cheers to another miserable December, January, February, March, and on and on we go.
If we keep tossing things up in the air again and again it will be the same result. We need consistency for a few years to build around. Granted that would not have worked with Sporano, or Philbin, or many of the other coaches we've had since Shula, but Gase will have Ryan back next year and we'll hopefully finally see if he's the star that so many believe he can be. If the team could prepare like they did for the NE game a couple weeks back, we'd have an exciting franchise again.
If they fail to address the line again and Gase is correct in stating the playbook must be dumbed down to the point of high school level play, and they don't make the playoffs, then it should be on Tannenbaum and Gase, however RT will take the dagger because too many fans hate him and the coaches will finally cave to the notion that he's not a winner (possibly even just to save their own butts). All fans that hate Ryan will then cheer and exchange gifts over the joyous occasion. The trodden QB will then go to another team where he will be top 10, while we continue a new 3 year building cycle around another good to great QB who will be mistreated and eventually burned at the stake.
While all that is going on, the NFL referee brotherhood (or whoever is lording over them) will continue to shiz all over the franchise that everyone loves to hate. They will get 2 or 3 games where all the calls will go in their favor (including one against the Patriots each year), and the rest of the games will be called heavily in favor of the opponent. We will continue as the training ground for some of the best players to walk a tightrope of hopelessness and move on to teams that possess NFL sanctioned worthiness to become perennial pro-bowlers.
And... while all that is going on... we will keep riding the same roller coaster of hope each year. Because we can all say to ourselves, "let's ban ourselves from watching to make them pay" ...but keep watching anyway. And this affirms all of our friends and loved one's beliefs that all Dolphins fans are insane. And we continue telling ourselves that "I'm a very good person... and gosh darnit... people like me". But most people really don't 'cause we're Dolphins fans.
I will not support my position with detailed facts if asked to do so. Anyone who wishes to disagree with me automatically wins. YAY! -
Some guys just develop slowly. We need to find a way to bring out that brilliance instead of giving up on him. -
Hes going to get slapped with the franchise tag. Its inevitible. I will be super pissed if we lose him for nothing. If he wasnt in your future plans why didnt you try to trade him when he had value?
Losing him for nothing is going to cost someones job and it will likely be Tannebaum.resnor likes this. -

Parker should be 0%.... that guy is pathetic. Let’s please move on from this non producing dumpster fire instead of the guy who brings 110% every game and produces.

I wouldn't bring Tannenbaum back but I would suspect the front office and coaching staff remains intact. The team is going to win 7-8 games after losing its starting Qb in training camp, things are not that bad. People that expected us to contend when Tannehill went down were a little nutty.
I think we have to keep Landry but who knows what kind of contract talks they have, maybe things go smoothly, maybe they fall apart. If he wants some sort of crazy deal then he's probably gone but if he's realistic we should be keeping him. If he leaves hes going to go someplace like New England or Seattle and put up big numbers.
All and all we are not that far away, fans need to calm down. Gase is a good coach and if we can get the LB situation improved and add a few pieces we can win the division next year.RevRick likes this. -

If I seen him do a handful of 150+ games in his career, we could use the word special but that isn’t happening.bigballa2102 likes this. -
Second of all, I am NOT DirtyLandry. Please go check my post history. Either I've been on this site for years, and I coincidentally have a name that sounds similar to another user's name that is a Miami Dolphins pun, or I am secretly DirtyLandry. Furthermore, you are insinuating that DirtyLandry is playing the long con, and has developed another user name years ago, posted on multiple accounts over a period of years with the ultimate goal of getting banned under DirtyLandry just to return as tirty8. Think about what you are saying. -
If i see him getting top 5 receiver money ima throw up. -

Finkle is Einhorn, Einhorn is Finkle...
You guys are seriously insane thinking that DirtyLandry has multiple accounts going on for multiple years for this one grand moment. Seriously, do a little diligence, go back and read my posts in conjunction with DL's. I promise you that you will find nothing. What have I said that makes you think think that I am Einhorn? My name sounds similar to his.... That is the entire conspiracy. Seriously, if a mod is reading this, I imagine you can put this whole thing to rest quite easily.
Laces out, Dan! -
If he is talking to himself all day in forums, you can bank on the fact he never had a girlfriend. That is a grown man sharing a bedroom with his mama, if true.

Seriously, what is your evidence that I am DirtyLandry? Do you suspect anyone with a player in his name or any type of Dolphin pun as being DL?
Just out of curiosity, just how many screen names do you think DL has? Is there a chance that it is just you and DL on this board and everyone else is just one of the many pseudonyms used by DL? Speaking of Jim Carrey, have you ever seen the Truman Show?
