1) We finally have our franchise QB
2) Daniel Thomas is a good running back, and there is hope he'll continue to improve.
3) John Jerry may become a decent starting O-lineman after all.
4) Bess is still Bess
5) Reggie Bush looks really good at RB
6) Sean Smith looks to have turned a major corner, playing better in man, ballhawking better, but also tackling better.
7) We no longer have a staff that believes things like 'Play not to lose.", "All the QB can do is hurt you.", and "Set up the field goal on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down."
8) Javorskie Lane is a find who brings major swag to the team.
9) We have a lot of draft picks to use for trades or getting players over the next 9 months.
10) We know this team and management better thanks to Hard Knocks
11) Long-Incognito-Pouncey-Jerry could be a very good run-blocking line, and Martin may catch up since he's the only rookie.
12) Our special teams are not horrible anymore.
13) Coach Turner is hilarious, and awesome.
14) No one will trip over their shoelaces this year. Even Joe Toledo may have made it through this year injury-free.
15) No major injuries (knock on wood). Even Garrard will be back soon.
16) Saw lots of the gorgeous player-wives and girlfriends. Our boys have good taste.
17) Carpenter and Fields. We're blessed to have them.
18) Cam Wake is still a beast.
19) Pouncey has not regressed, no sophomore slump for him!
20) Charles Clay looks better this year than last year, and last year he was pretty potent.
21) Ross was not in HArd Knocks, and I think he stays out of football operations as much as possible.
22) Austin Spitler can play MLB at a decent level.
23) Our DTs are ridiculous. Soliai, Starks, Oddie when inside, and Kheeston Randall, plus Aatui. Deepest DT talent in the league.
24) Kheeston Randall will be a very good starter for us, down the road.
25) Pre-Season is OVER and the opening weekend is comin'.... Are you ready for some football!!!????
You have any more to add?

I like it, but can't agree on points 22 and 24 yet. I haven't seen much from either Spitler or Randall to think they are anything more than backups

He hasn't had THAT big a game again since, but in every game I see him winning at the line and penetrating, or scraping along the line and getting in on plays.

I like the optimism for sure. I've typically adopted the "glass half full" mentality. And I agree on you on just about everything. One of the things I agree with you on, albeit cautiously, is that we have got our franchise QB. Tannehill has impressed. Poise, arm strength, confidence, leadership, etc. But all of that can be ruined if we don't ease him into this and don't get him weapons on the outside. I've seen, in my many years of watching football, QBs who could have been special be mentally destroyed because of the team around him. There are so many QBs who probably could have been franchise guys that ended up being either career back ups or out of the league in a few years because of mismanagement by the coaches and FO. Let us hope that Tannehill does not turn out to be one of those. He has what it takes for himself. But this team, this front office, this coaching staff, has to support him and help him grow properly.

As far as Tannehill being a franchise type QB. We shall see about that. I certainly hope he is the answer at the QB but position, but the reality is that he actually had zero competition for the job during the last four weeks. Matt Moore doesn't even deserve a spot on the roster, based on his play in the preseason, and Delvin is nothing but a long term backup in the NFL. I would have loved to see if Garrard could have been more effective with the offense, than any of these QB's have been so far in the preseason. I hope Garrard is healthy enough to return and he becomes the backup, with Delvin kept as the emergency QB.
Moore is paid too much to be kept around and he doesn't fit this offense at all. -

I'm pretty sure he must've hit rock bottom so hard that he actually bounced back up to the clouds if he's positive now.Bpk and CrunchTime like this. -
