What better way to celebrate one’s 25th anniversary? At 12:47 pm on November 12, 2008 the G-POWER HURRICANE RS, based on the BMW M5, set a new record as the world’s fastest sedan on the ATP High Speed Oval in Papenburg, reaching a top speed of 367.4 km/h. The four-door sedan is powered by a V10 SK III RS twin-compressor engine with 750 hp / 552 kW. G-POWER developed the engine in cooperation with ASA, a company renowned for producing OEM superchargers and for providing engineering services to the automotive industry. To safely attain such incredible speed the car was equipped with an aerodynamic-enhancement kit, a height-adjustable coil-over suspension and a high-performance brake system from G-POWER. The car ran on Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 high-performance tires mounted on G-POWER wheels.

How much does that Beemer cost, Philter?

Cause after all, you see those on the streets like every day...at least 10 of 'em! :tongue2:

Put a photo of a Charger funny car next as long as we're citing race cars. :wink2:

And BTW...in reading the article I see it has twin blowers and 750 horse. Hmmm...I beef up the internals on mine and my SINGLE blower can be kicked up to the same output, and for probably about $50K less than that car.

Let's have something a little more realistic, shall we? Ain't nothing on the street with 4 doors that I'm intimidated by. Doesn't mean I can beat them all, just that I'm not intimidated. :D

Price range or not, since you are a car lover, would anything really intimidate you? Say a ferrari pulled up to me and I knew it would destroy me, I know Id never ever own one and the only way to really appreciate its speed would be to watch it flow by you. Say Im going 100+ mph and one blows by me, Im not going to be intimidated, Im going to smile and say "thats awesome!"

And living in DC, I see a lot of those cars driving around Georgetown..... modified M5s, Ferrari's, Lambo's....

And that price point of that beemer would be similar to the price point of the new vettes I believe.... arent the new vettes going to be around 100k with a supercharged 6.2 putting out around 640 hp?

Also, that beemer wasnt designed for 0-60 or 1/4 mile, it was designed for max top speed. Im sure a motorcycle or another car could beat it in a 0-60 sprint, but theres going to come a point where that boke or car reaches its top speed, and that beemer goes flying by..... which is damn impressive for a sedan.

Heck, I've been in my wifes RAV4 and a Porsche or vette pulls up next to me driven by a guy in his 50s with grey hair and ive kicked it into neutral, revved that V6, and yelled out the window to the guy "lets see what you got baby!". I knew he'd kick my ass, but the only way I can appreciate those cars is to see them driven hard in person.

Well then bro this whole conversation goes out the window, we're of the same mindset. :wink2:

That's one of the reasons I put the poster up in the first place. Of course I'd appreciate it...but not a Neon, man! :pity:
