I'm glad the officiating in the NFL doesn't have as much opportunity to completely change a game as it does in the NBA.

I don't get their reasoning behind it. I don't think they'll find a better option out there than Karl.

Winning coach of the year is a really odd curse in the NBA

Except for those eagle eyed Refs that never see Offensive Holding on the Patriots. We all know the Patriots discovered the magic elixir that allows to never have a drive killer penalty.

    As for George Karl....

1 year out of the first round in 9 years?

5 times losing as a favorite?

His lineup data is rather terrible?

    Yeah...he's not all that great.

    Remember...Wanny won 11 games twice.

His playoff record is not great, but he did get the Sonics to the Finals and took the Milwaukee Bucks of all the teams to the ECF

I don't know who would've done better with Denver the last two seasons and losing Gallinari really hurt them against GS.

    Understood.

I still think he left a few series wins on the table.

If the Dolphins go on to win 12 games a year for 4 years in a row, but they lose their first playoff game at home each of the 4 years...I want Philbin fired.

I agree. His Sonics team's loss to Denver was incredibly embaressing (worse than our loss to a good Knicks team in a lockout year) and you figure he should've made it out of the first round at least once with Anthony, but Anthony hasn't proven much in NY to this point either.

I just find it hard to believe that Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw would do a better job next year than him. I understand that since they are getting a new GM, might as well just bring in a whole new crew, but I do think Karl is a good coach.

I think he's a bit Larry Brownish in that he will absolutely make you a better team but is unlikely to win a championship.

Still don;t understand why Tony Brothers got a NBA Finals assignment.

Not because he is openly hostile to Miami, but because he is usually incompetent for both teams.

That would stand to reason since hes an apprentice of Browns. They both served under Dean Smith. Not a bad coaching tree for Smith.

Steratore to me looks like the stereotypical mobster planted by the mob to fix games after having murdered the real referee. Seriously, the look, mannerisms, the lazy stroll to midfield for the call./rant

I actually feel pretty well in control of this game. We just need to hit a stretch of higher defensive intensity.

Shouts out to Shane Battier for playing so well during the regular season to allow Spo to keep Mike Miller on ice. Really glad he is well rested for the finals this year.

I'd like to see Lebron get a little more aggressive offensively looking for his shot. That is the difference in the game right now.

Changes nothing about the series. Spurs arent nearly talented enough to maintain that level of play, while we are.
