I'm not a big science fiction kinda guy but I keep hearing how good this show is. I may have to rent the first season and check it out.

Trust me, I'm the exact same way. This show is more than science fiction, the FX part seems to be almost secondary to the story and characters. It's a great great show.

Make sure if you rent the first season, it starts with the miniseries. It's weird how it works.

I'm pumped for Friday night.

It is so good. Sci-Fi is just a tag it got IMO and has made people overlook the overall quality of the program.

I had never seen an episode but kept hearing about how great it was, bought Season 1.0 on DVD and watched the entire first season in less then a week, I was totally addicted.

Go rent it, you won't be disappointed. The mini series that starts it all is fantastic and the first "regular" episode "33" will hook you, it's still one of my five favorite episodes.

Ive heard Dwight on The Office talk about it. He seems to enjoy it, I might check it out.

Joss Whedon says he is a huge fan. That is enough for my interest to be peaked. This might have to be one of those shows I check out after its all over. If I wasn't starting the West Wing right now I might have picked this one up.

So... Who watched it? What do you guys think is going on? WTF happened when that Cylon raider scanned Starbuck's Ex's eyes? Good opening episode. Feels like good old cliff-hanging BSG

The beginning when Tye blasted the "old man" in the face, only to realize it did not really happen had my jaw on the floor.

I don't get the "scanning" part to be honest. I found myself asking "if a dumb-ass raider can scan and sense a Cylon in a Viper then why wouldn't "Caprica" be able to sense that Tye was a Cylon when they were standing face to face". Why wouldn't the Cylon fleet have gotten feedback from the raider letting them know that one of the "final 5" was actually in the Human fleet?

Great start to the season and I can't freaking wait for Friday. I want to know what really happened to Thrace when she was gone, I want to know why 4 of the final 5 were activated. What is Lee's future? Why did Roslin's cancer return? What is with Baltar's cult? What will happen to "Caprica", will they throw her out the airlock?

I'm such a geek and it is YOUR FAULT Mor....I got into this show because of the thread on the old site...LOL!

Dude... To know that I converted at least one person to BSG makes me a happy man. It's truly one of the great sci-fi shows of our generation. Back in the 70's and 80's they had Star Trek... We got BSG :D

Truth....hell, I'd say it is one of the best shows, regardless of genre, of the last 20 years.

Can't wait to tomorrow night. Question, anyone thing they might kill off the old man (Odama)? I have a feeling he doesn't survive the season... For one it's been announced that this is the final season. Also, there's a lot of foreshadowing of something bad happening to him.

I'd be very upset if that does happen. The Admiral is easily my favorite character. Not very often to you see a character so strong, well-spoken, and smart. The guy just has great instincts and I think he's a better father than he gets credit for.

Just finished watching it, what a way to start the season. The good thing is I dont have to wait a week like you guys to see what happens next. :D

Another good episode and next weeks looks just as good. :up:

yeah... This is definitely building. Tension is getting crazy. Wanna see where Starbuck goes in her little rougue team. Think the pres knows about it?

Thing Odama and the pres will get it on before the season is up?

I am watching season 3 on DVD at the moment..... The one complaint I have with this show is that they put too much drama in it IMO. Need more action.

Still I do like it.
