guy has called a **** game today, per usual. but its a tough defense, our defense has been pitiful. our defense choked when we needed them the most. this game so far is on the defense, not the offense.

 

What I don't understand
You are throwing the ball the whole way down the field. Everything is going great by mixing up the receivers.
Then we get down to the 25 and run the ball twice to create 3rd and long and then a **** pass for 3 yds.
On top of this...The way Sparano gets so excited after a stupid field goal to go up by a whole 2 points.

Lets run the ball in a 2 minute offense and pick up a yard...Oh yeah and then hurry up and get to the line and throw a garbage pass so when we get back from the 2 minute warning we are 3rd and long.

I'll say the same thing I say anytime one of these threads crop up, if you think you can do a better job, please, please, please fax your resumé to the Miami Dolphins front office. If not, please shut the **** up. It's really quite simple.

 

There's no excuse for his playcalling on that final drive. It was terrible.

It has nothing to do with us being better. It is hiring the right person for the role. There is no excuse for the plays he called today and in previous weeks. You must enjoy watching such talent go to waste because of a poor called offensive game.

No, it's not. Most everyone on here could not be a pro player, does that mean we can't critique players who make a bad play? Just the same, we may not be qualified to run the offense for a pro team, but we know a bad play when we see one.

Right...but the run was a TERRIBLE call. And, once Fasano dropped that pass, the next two plays were dumpoffs...and thu were quick. Wasn't like Henne went through progressions to get to it, either. Looked liked they were designed to go short. That was horrible. Throw it to Marshall, Bess, or Hartline.

If you are in this thread defending D.H. and saying we shouldn't be complaining, PLEASE defend that call. I played for 10 years, and have been watching for almost 30, and I am lost on that one.

 

False. What is pathetic is the quarterback that refuses to throw the ball down the field on 4th and 6. The fact is that the play caller protected this kid from EVERY opportunity the Steelers may have had to sack the QB. That in itself is an accomplishment.

The Dolphins ran the ball to protect him.

The Dolphins max protected and provided all the time in the world.

The quarterback did not make plays.

HE THREW AN OUTLET ON 4TH AND 6 AT THE END OF THE GAME!

 

The run was a horrible call and they seem to go to it too often at what seems to be the wrong time. Agreed they are the money guys and the ball needs to go their way.

 

It's classic counterintuitive 2 minute offense...But calling the time out for the field goal try?

 

The offensive line/blockers protected him, because last time I checked, I didn't see Henning back there making blocks or picking up blitzes.

There is a time to put down the haterade man, we get it, you don't like Henne, but he played a very good game and showed a lot of maturity.

It is pretty clear cut he was set up for failure in that last drive.

 

Henning should be commended for his protection schemes.

When he stops making bonehead calls, people will stop being mad.

It takes good line play to protect like that, the schemes were good, but blocking schemes are 101 for pro O.C.s.

 

Let me get this straight, while people are on this Dolphins discussion board to express being pissed about a loss, you are here to tell people to shut up about what they think about the team.

Why come to a Dolphins board if you don't want to be around people SAYING things about the Dolphins?

If you want silence, go to a library, or whatever. lol. Obviously here you will get people being mad or happy about our team. Telling people on a discussion board to not talk is so pointless. I may as well run into a rerstaurant and tell people to "Stop *#&##@&ing eating already!!"

 

How about that BS 3 and 1 call to Ronnie..it was the slowest develping play I ever seen for one yard...why the hell is Long pulling with a yard if not less to go???

I haven't been on the Fire Henning band wagon until now. I just feel sick. We talk about being a tough physical team, and we punt at the 50 on 4th and 1. I don't get it.

No timeouts and we try to run and dump the ball to RB's who didn't have a chance of getting any yards, much less a first down.

Well make room on the band wagon. I'm all in.

 

I guess if someone else made a mistake, it proves Henning didn't.

That makes total sense. Henning must have done a good job because another person dropped a pass. Two people couldn't make a mistake. Only one at a time.
