So Matt Moore's been in this spot for us. If you believe Adam Gase has helped RT and can adapt the offense, you''ve got to have some expectations for Moore to manage.

jumped out of my chair screaming for joy....Your questions are baffling to me. Why would that not make me happy? My only guess would have to be your weird reactions as a fan when it is RT leading it...sad for you.

All real fans are happy when their team wins regardless of the QB who is playing. I hope Matt Moore can lead us to the playoffs and I'm sure every RT supporter hopes so too. We are fans of the Miami Dolphins, not the Miami Tannehills or Miami Moores (or Doughtys).

Is this concept really that hard to understand? It must be, otherwise why ask such silly questions. Hell, I cheered for Cleo Lemon, David Woodley, Gus Ferrotte and a whole hosts of others. Not once in over 40+ years cheering this team on did I say " Don't really like our QB, hope they don't score or do well!"....Seriously, bordering on insanity and incredible immaturity.

If you watched the Miami Dolphins like you claim that you do, you would know that we needed a first down BAD. What better time to call a play action then on the second play after Moore came in on either series? The defense was expecting run, run, run and that is exactly what Gase gave them. I knew with playing that way the game was going to be tied up, cause i've watched them play,,, you know the game... and also Joseph started playing the DB's 7 yards off the ball on the long drive, once again I thought there going to score here.... cause again i've watched the defense enough to know what they do well and what they don't do well. hint ..... playing 7 yards off the ball is bad...

If Gase comes in and calls one looks plays then NO he is not doing what Moore does well, but it is SAFE.

Did you WATCH the play to Stills? He threw it with the DBs back to the QB Stills made a great adjustment too, AND it was really the only throw he could make at the time since he was drilled almost as soon as he got the ball. If you insert Tannehill in there on that throw you would be saying how great it was....... Not sure what your agenda is in saying it was not a great play by Moore. If he does not throw it or takes sack, game likely goes into OT.

You continue to want to stir things up all the while saying you aren't.. It is comical really.

It doesn't matter. We had a lead when he came in, a two score lead. There's no need to pass there when he's fresh into action. It's just, common sense for most coaches to not put him in that situation that early. Especially the way our D was playing prior to that.

Your wrong on that Stills pass IMO, but I covered that in the other thread though, I guess we can do it here too. IMO, Moores intention is to lead stills on his route into the endzone. Stills has man coverage, and a step or two on his man. That ball was supposed to be into the endzone. Instead it's underthrown because Moore is completely blasted by a free blitzer, Stills then makes the adjustment. Moore didn't underthrow that on purpose as you're trying to claim apparently. It's a heck of a play by Moore to stand in there and take that shot. But it's not the play you're making it out to be. It was underthrown because he couldn't step into it because of the hit, and Stills adjusted. Just watch the replay of Stills... His route is to take him into the endzone, that's where the ball was designed to go. It didn't get there because of the hit. It's a heck of a play by Moore, but it's awfully lucky at the same time.

I don't care who the QB is, so stop trying to make this about that. I've credited Moore for it, but just not the way you want to, because well, it doesn't appear that's how it went down to me when looking at it objectively.

Psh, duh bro. Ofcourse I saw it. You can oddly assume I'm biased to Moore by stating facts... But it's clearer that you really didn't see anything and are looking to complain. Don't tell me to go watch $&@& ! I was there. Moore had a 5-1 TD ratio in the first two before that sloppy, slop field game against the vaunted jets D when he warmed up to orchestrate a 4th qtr comeback to spoil their season. It was JTs last game, I was 434 row 2 back then. Psh.

That's the thing for me. My confidence in this team with Moore at the helm is based on Adam Gase and his ability to tailor this offense to his QB, and players' strengths, not Matt Moore's ability as a QB. Not that Moore is bad, but he's a career backup for a reason. I have no doubt that Adam Gase will bring out a gameplan next week with heavy input for what Moore is comfortable with, and what he's good at doing. The coaches flexibility should go along way into contributing to a situation where Moore can come in, manage the game, take what he's given, and hopefully not give it away. That's all he's got to do, that's all you want from your backup. Come in, do what you're asked, do what you need to win, don't give it away.

My contribution to "let's be positive about Matt Moore":

Adam Gase has engineered offensive output with Tim fucking Tebow at QB. Matt Moore is a capable backup.

I forgot how old he was though. He doesn't look that old. But thinking back to how long ago it was when he was making noise in Carolina, he definitely is that old. Here's hoping his career can end with a nice playoff run!

Damn, that's right, he was the OC there when Tebow was doing his thing wasn't he? Damn.

Just read some analysis by someone who knows a lot more than me and Moore did more than meets the eye on those last couple plays.

I think we have a fighting chance.

Then why are you angry at me because I was pleased they won and Moore made a great play, showing he can make plays in the clutch, which bodes well for the season?

Because your main implication is that you dont believe the dropoff between the two is that significant. Even if those arent 'your words' that is your implication, and its wrong, provably, even if Moore gets help and plays fantastic down the stretch. Tannehill is (now) significantly better than moore in almost every category that classifies a QB. and doughty isnt even on the same planet as either of them.

How am I wrong? He saw the guy open (that is critical), threw it the only place he could (as in receiver, not location) Stills adjusted and made a great play, pretty much sealed the game with the play. and I know you want to twist it that I am wrong someway somehow, but even you admit Moore saw the route open and threw the ball. It was short because it was all arm, as he got drilled while throwing it.

I am not the guy trying to make it about anything, not sure what you are trying to twist yet again, I said great play, great read, great adjustment.

LOL so if Moore plays great down the stretch it has nothing to do with him, but if Tannehill plays great it is all Tannehill.... you are funny.

Nobody would've had a problem with you if that was the reason and you know it. You are so disingenuous it's frightening. You know why you are propping up Moore, we all do. You can't even admit it to yourself . Carry on. My day is complete. Dolphins won, Denver lost and OUR QB is gonna be ok. All is right with the world

Which one is the career backup who wasnt picked up by QB starved teams over multiple FAs? Tannehill has outplayed Moore SIGNIFICANTLY enough to earn that benefit of the doubt. What player coach or team on the planet picks Moore over Tannehill for anything? NO one.

So actually yes. Moore has been in the league long enough to where even if he plays amazing down the stretch we still know what we have in him. which is less than Tannehill has to offer. if Moore wins us a superbowl, Tannehill is still starting next season.

Once again, where did I say the season was over because of Moore? Where? You jump from thing to thing making no sense. Dude, if I was the only one busting your chops a bit, I would back off. That not the case .. clearly... but you don't see it. Everybody seems to have the same reaction to you(except one).. why is that? Must be me I guess. Anyway, gonna enjoy this run . Go Phins

True, but he had 5 turnovers in the 3 games. He is careless with the ball. It's a concern.

That's a very ignorant statement. Moore has a better career record than Tannehill. Moore has a better career QBR than Tannehill. Moore has been teaching Tannehill how to be a leader for five years now; that's the only reason you keep an aging veteran on the roster. And just because Tannehill has played better in recent weeks than you remember Moore playing, that doesn't mean a darn thing.

Tannehill may be slightly better than Moore in a few areas, but Moore is world's better handling/avoiding pressure and seeing the field. And with our receivers who tend to get open deep an awful lot, some would argue that Moore has been a better fit for this offense all along. We'll definitely find out over the next 3 weeks though.

Winning football games at any level comes down to winning in the trenches.
