The Phins have been doing their due diligence this year when scouting, they have been following some small school guys pretty hard. They have been looking at guys like Adrian Hamilton hard, and Ryan Davis. Here is a list of guys that I speak too that have all had interviews with their scouts so far.
They have been scouting Marquette King, Punter of Fort Valley State who had a few huge punts this year, one for 80 against Bethune Cookman who blasted this punt, it was amazing, didn't not bounce, 80 yard missle in the air.
I have had the pleasure to write articles on all the guys that the Jets have been interested in so far from the small schools and thought I would give you guys a chance to read up on some of the guys, here are the articles I have wrote on all of them
Marquette King, P, Fort Valley State - 60 punts averaging 43.3 yards and the NCAA record for D-2 with an 80 yard missle

Does this mean that they weren't doing their due diligence prior to this year. Perhaps that explains the teams 20-28 over the last three years. I am in agreement with djphinfan. Why would the Dolphins be interested in scouting a punter when they already have one of the best punters in the NFL?
The Dolphins have many needs on their roster but a punter certainly is not one of those needs. -

I enjoy watching some of the guys he listed, going north to the CFL, making an impact in a place they most likely never thought they'd play, then have a shot back in the NFL, guys like Cam Wake, Brandon Browner, and this yr's crop of CFL to NFLers.Boomer likes this.
