note: bring it on. His stock has dropped so far recently, let's bring him into the fold. Love it.

Here in Miami as a TE (H-back) and unique QB package could/would be quite different that Denver - especially if wanted vs. un-wanted. Denver is going above and beyond to say UN-WANTED for all to hear. Elway (and Fox) is fixed in what he wants and doesnt want; but in Miami, especially as athletic TE/H-Back and special package QB would be different. Worth a shot especially if cut....and worth a shot if we move Merling for him for example.
Tebow is a 100% effort/willingness playmaker...those experts would never predict 11TDs from last season...but he accomplished that.
Our roster is not stuffed with PLAYMAKERs...we have room to add him and benefit from it.Pandarilla likes this. -

Its telling you're under the assumption that he's 4th on their QB chart simply because of FO politics and not because he's sucking in camp.
Newsflash, Tebow is not Jesus. -

The only surprise was that John Elway thought he was a 1st round QB in the first place. And I don't quite understand the "he's a hard worker" arguments. So what? So was Rudy. He's got to be able to see the field to be of any value. I don't doubt that he could come in on goalline and short yardage Wildcat situations, but unless he can also give us some snaps at TE, that's hardly enough to warrant a roster spot. And people aren't going to fill a stadium to watch a guy ride the pine all season.

Perhaps you should review the film of him playing for the Broncos last year before making such comments.Pandarilla likes this. -
All things considered, I see a QB who needs 3-4 years of work just getting the fundamentals right to be able to play in an NFL-style offense. His mechanics aren't good, and what's more, they're not consistent. On one play he throws from his shoulder, the next play his windup looks longer than Byron Leftwich's. He's a leader with a great attittude and intangibles who was hurt a ton by the lockout not being able to be in the Broncos facility to study film, work on his mechanics, and develop timing with his NFL receivers. He'll work his tail off trying to improve, but I think from the point he has to start from to where he has to go is far greater than you think it is, and the NFL talent evaluators said as much and thus far, are spot on. That's what I see.Mainge, Stitches and unluckyluciano like this. -
In 99, Lucas had 60% completions 14 TDs and 6 ints and 1600 yrds in 9 games.
Tebow racked up 50% completions 6 TDs and 3 ints and 654 yrds in 3 games.
Those are very similar numbers. Those are also facts. -
I don't think it was that surprising once Fox was hired as HC. I have no doubt that Tebow could be successful, but he needs a coach who is unconventional enough to use him. These are all the same arguments that were used when he went to college. How there was no way he would succeed in the SEC. Well there he ended up in a suitable system and it made all the difference. The system will be the same determinant in the NFL. I actually think he would work in Daboll's system. Now he would still need to develop as a passer, but he's a far better developmental QB prospect than anything currently on our roster. And with the third QB rule change, he would be a better goal line option than Larry Johnson. I would be all in for a Merling for Tebow trade (I'd even throw in that 6th I'm guessing they were willing to use on Pryor). You put him at third QB and have him spend the whole season working on taking snaps from center and throwing the ball on time. You unwrap him periodically for use on the goal line and on 3rd or 4th and short (much like UF did his first season). Next year you still draft a QB early and suddenly you have a nice stable of guys with potential.

I have no idea whether or not Tebow can be a successful starting QB in this league.
The one thing I do know is that he hasn't had enough snaps or games played to make a full determination.
I find it hilarious that that the same people who are screaming for Chad Henne to get more time, and that he hasn't had a fair chance in an offense tailored around his skills, so easily dismiss Tebow.
Surely we've learned more about Henne over the course of three full preseasons and 27 regular season starts than we have Tebow. -
This is so stupid. They were ready to trade Orton and make him the starting QB three weeks ago, and now they're talking about making him fourth string? Based on what? He played well in the one preseason game they actually allowed him to play in. It seems to me like they're trying to make Tebow look bad to justify their decision to commit to Orton.
They should just trade him or cut him, but stop trying to embarrass the guy like this. I don't care how good Brady Quinn looks in practice. I've seen him in real games and he sucks ***. Now you're trying to pump up an undrafted free agent here? Just cut ties and let Tebow find a team that actually wants him already. I'd love it to be in Miami, but honestly, I just want the guy to get a legitimate chance somewhere. -
Heres Tebows draft report via walter football:

From what I have seen, me personally even in his preseason game, I have not seen him work out very many of his weaknesses. Is it possible he could figure it out, sure. Is it likely, well as time progresses it becomes less likely. He could still be successful, but I think right now, since he is a qb with this many fundamental weaknesses, at the pro level, I think it is far more likely he doesn't succeed. But if he does, more power to him. I'm sure he'll be a great role model and something the nfl is in great need of. Even if he is a dirty gator.Vengeful Odin likes this. -
Back off the fallacy of all that is Tebow, you will just be disappointed....the kid was a winner in college....that means jack squat in the NFL.... -

I'd sign Tebow just for the jersey sales alone. The guy is a cash cow.

I say: Great college careers don't equal great pro careers.
You say: Duh. No kidding. Everyone knows that.
I say: Well then, why do you think Tebow will be great?
You say: Cause he had a great college career.
I say: Sigh. -

There are hard workers every year that don't pan out in the NFL. The idea that Tim Tebow is somehow a harder worker and better person than all of them is simply due to his notoriety as a college star and the publicity that followed.
