Be sure and comply with minor labor laws in your state... -
I could make the Lions pick now since I am 100% sure the Rams will not be taking my pick. But I'll check back in a few hours and make it official.

well there goes Suh..little shocked but i can see it happen if Bradford/Rams cant agree on a contract
-
yup just because this QB class is not very good.
-
I will be shocked if the Rams don't take Bradford.

At the end of the day I dont see the Rams spending the first overall pick on a injury prone QB wwho has question marks outside of the injuries. If they do go QB its more to placate the fans and owner then do whats best for the team. Spagnola knows defense and by drafting Suh, you get to either pair him with Carriker or have Carriker swing out to DE where he's probably better suited. Having a disruptive force in the middle is invaluable. I just dont see how you pass on a hall of fame prospect to pick an injury prone QB who ran a gimmick offense and doesnt have the strongest arm.

Big Red has been messaged he is up...
Okay about a month ago most would have hated this pick but a lot of mocks have come around to the idea that the Lions really need to upgrade their offensive line if they are to get max value from their most recent top offensive draft picks.
Over the past three years the organization has drafted only three offensive linemen, two of them remain with the team. And those linemen, OT Cherlius and OG Ramirez have yet to prove they are capable starters. While Jeff Backus had a good year in 2009 he will be 33 and I believe they cannot risk the shoulders of their franchise QB Stafford if he were to regress into the player he was in 2007-08. Because Backus is capable of playing LG he can certainly help both mentor a player like Okung and improve the guard play, which was poor by any standards in 2009.
With Suh off the board this became a much easier pick though some will still question the value. I personally have a hard time thinking of paying a DT top 5 money but for Suh I might have had to bite the bullet. With so much emphasis placed on defensive upgrades this off-season I fully expect the Lions to at least give going OT strong consideration in the real draft. -
A shame this seems to be GM league only, but I look forward to the results.

Hey guys, in all seriousness, I just wanna say thanks for being part of this. I was thinking this might be a fun way to kill some time until the real draft starts. And, it looks like it will be. I'm gonna step aside for a little while, but y'all know the drill, so have at it. And, I'll check back in later on this evening. OK?

The Bradford pick (to Wash.) makes a lot of sense RR. I doubt he gets past St. Louis, but if he does, that would be a good pick for the Skins IMO.

Nice pick Big Red, the NT tradition continues in Tampa Bay......
Det makes out NICE with some solid protection for Stafford sparing his life......kudos to Striking for having the best avatar pic as well
Washington taking Bradford is such a fit, Shanny gets his QB, because Lord knows he doesnt want Campbell........
Berry lands in KC as expected, pairing up nicely with Pollard, who can now concentrate on laying wood ha!! -
At pick 6 Seattle selects Baluga, who represents the safest pick right there, I like this pick, nice job Buck-K, it must be hard as the GM of a team with so many holes, however you did well here to grab an everyday starter for the next 10 years, it is so vital to have that rock protecting the most vulnerable part of your team.......now go find a QB!!
Seventh heaven lands the Browns a MUCH needed CB, the best one on the board is taken by E-Fin, Mr. Holmgren-fin needs to sure up his defense, and the Eric Wright experiment isn't exactly turning out as planned....however Haden wins the CB1 job, taking some pressure off Wright, and he turns it around this year too, everybody wins with this pick...
On the clock now is Oakland, who as we all know, should provide us all entertainment....we will be right back, have to pay the bills, keep it locked to 131.3 KMKD...... -
