So some say consider the source it's only clark, porter, sapp & crowder. I raise you an all-time Dolphins great Nick Buoniconti:
“You can’t possibly lose out on every single individual, whether management or player or coach, without there being consequences to pay for it."

Bunicotti has no inside info. He is basing what he says on the reports which are based on speculation.
I seriously don't believe this fanbase would recognize a fact if it hit them in the balls.Colorado Dolfan, gafinfan, Aquafin and 10 others like this. -

We were supposed to pay that much for VJ? I mean, his contract is certainly better than Garcon's but it's not a great deal or anything that we would've been beating. Beating that contract would've made the deal even worse too.
And if nobody wants to play for the Dolphins, how was he able to name any FAs we brought in?
He (nor any of us) actually know how much Carl Peterson is being "used." There is likely no need to even mention him when criticizing the team.ToddsPhins, Bulldog and Fin D like this. -
I would bet against Buoniconti having no inside info.
And the. Free agents we signed are not exactly impact players.Uncle Rico likes this. -
Who needs information or any facts when the bash train is choo-choo-ing along!! Everyone jump aboard and join! All you have to do is have an opinion and be good at conjecture!

If I post, you can assume I read the article. Thanks for the condescension.
And it's just as likely that if Buoniconti had inside information, he wouldn't reveal that he has it so as not to out his source. -
Bunicotti very obviously came to the same conclusion the CLB has come to, based on the same "info", which is a couple of snippets from 3 players and media reports that are conjecture. He doesn't have some inside knowledge he's applying to the situation. He is merely reacting the same way you are.
That doesn't mean either of you are right. -
There is plenty to criticize about Ireland and this team, but who we bring in (or don't) and sign in FA isn't really one of them in most instances IMO (or at least most instances that people generally complain about - like the VJ signing as an example).
While I do agree they play it safe in some moves, I don't agree that they aren't bold with some of their moves.
Being bold is going against traditional thought, and standing out. I don't see how taking a OT over a QB at #1 overall wasn't bold. How is taking a C higher than any has ever been taken in the NFL draft not bold. Trading for a pro bowl WR is bold, and trading one off your team is even bolder. There's more to list (Pat White for example).
Making a bold move, doesn't mean making the best move. We certainly have not always made the best move, but bold is definitely something we've done.gunn34, Killer Bees, USArmyFinFan and 1 other person like this. -

the writing is on the wall, and we are just wasting time at this point.
But by all means...waste it. -
Or this gem as well:
So outside of these two QB's that we supposedly whiffed on, what else do you have? And don't give me other players talk smack about the Dolphins, that is a load of BS by disgruntled people. -
Nick, and I love the guy, is out of the loop. There is no reason for him to have inside info and I doubt he has anything more than us fans at this point. He's doing nothing more than parroting what's been in the media the last few weeks. If he had inside info he'd be telling us something new. He doesn't. -

Henne's failure to develop set this entire franchise back 3 years.
In terms of Brandon, we had no choice. The guy is a trainwreck and with a new coach and QB in town we needed to move on. That move still stings but it had to be done. Let's wait until after the draft to see where we stand before jumping to conclusions.Fin D likes this. -

My main flaw as a Dolphin fan was faith in Henne that was misguided. Now that the failure of Henne and Sparano has been exposed, it's time to move on. And that will require some growing pains, especially if Tannehill slips to us or Weeden is the choice in the early 2nd... But make no mistake, this predicament is avoided if Henne had a clutch gene and could have actually won close games.. Instead, we are back to square one. At the same time can you really blame the team for buying in to Henne after some of his brilliant flashes? -
