I just want to thank all of you who prayed, gave support and posted such sweet words and thoughts during Jims final days.
He was such a great guy, funny, laid back, never angry and loved life.
He loved the Bengals, but always had something to say to me about the Dolphins. ( good & bad) He and Kath bought the girls their Dolphin cheerleading out fits. They were always sending me Dolphin stuff from shirts to Christmas ornaments. I even have a Dolphin pocketbook they sent.(that I'm using through the season)
I'm going to miss Jim terribly. All the suffering he went through with the lung transplant (5 1/2 years ago) up until he passed, he never once complained or asked "why me".
Continue to remember Kath and their families. The service is this Thurs. I won't get to go, but Kath says she'll need me more after.
Pray for me too, please, I think my heart is really broken over this.
I love all of you and may God Bless each and every one of you.
With Love,
Debby

I believe we're here to help others to the best of our ability. If that means praying because sadly we can do nothing else than so be it :)

Jim and his family are very fortunate to have a friend like you who wears her heart right out on her sleeve, and truely LOVE people, not just mutter the words.
Jim is finally out of his misery, and smiling upon you from somewhere else.

Deb - we all love you and will continue to pray for Jim and Kath. Use that number if you need to and we're always here for you. You're amazing and I'm so sorry you feel heartbroken. Lean on me friend.

You all are so generous that perhaps you could give some strength in your means to this family of a beautiful life cut short.

Not to hijack your thread, Deb, but the karma here is so positive, I can feel the transfer.alen1 and azfinfanmang like this. -
Of course I have heard of this.
Did this happen near you Lisa?
Did you know this girl?
What an absolute crying shame. Two girls actually lost their lives on that day, one is in heaven, and the other will have to spend the rest of her teens and a good portion of her Adult life in Hell.....very very sad indeed... :pity: -

sorry deb. all we can do is pray and put faith in whatever hope we have that there is something more than this life that is meant for us, no matter what that personal hope is
its what sustains us in the micro and macro

Sorry for your loss but be thankful that his suffering is over, and for the time he had alive. I had several friends die tragically in my younger days, 2 of which were very good friends. 2 young men, both died before their 21st birthdays... never a chance to be a parent, or a husband, or even have a career or college education.

Kath and I have been friends for 45 years now.
Two of my other friends from Ohio lost their husbands around a year ago.
It just seems like their all going so quickly and I hate being so far from them.
All four of us girls were friends and have kept in touch over the years. Kath and Jim came to visit, usually once or twice a year. Her and I are the closest.
I'll miss him, but I am glad his suffering is over.
thank you for your response.
love,
Debby
