Given of how religious Tony is, it isnt a surprise.....

that being said, it is grown men, playing a violient game who may or may not be as smart as Mr. Dungy...sometimes these guys like to be around that it gets them going...

remember on Hard Knocks the other night, when the RB, ran into Kris Jenkins, and all he did was swear, and ripped his helmet off....I mean get over it, it is football...I have heard swears, sheet talking, the n-word all on gameday, accidently picked up by the mics.....I would argue that it is a big part of the game.....the fans just dont hear it alot...

 

Tony Dungy got to his players without ever cursing. I remember one of his players saying that Dungy once said the word "damn" and everyone just stared at him. It's all about gaining respect IMO and that doesn't have to be through foul language. It can be but it doesn't necessarily have to be, which I think is Dungy's point.

Heard an interview with Dungy on LeBatard once. He claims he hasn't used any profanity in his adult life. I believe him. He's pretty devout. There's a guy I work with who's the same way, and can't stand to hear anyone else drop an F Bomb. I make sure to say it around him quite often :shifty:

 

There was a guy I knew in the Navy that used to ask people to turn it to the "Disney" channel. That went over well... Poor guy. I think he cried one day.

 

Defense is great but we need more snacks. You mean sacks? No.

I cant wait till the end of this year after we sweep the Jets as they go 5-11, then they lose half of their stars to FA And rex ryan is fat againg bche still eats like a horse. Did u see on HK, he has a patio where he hides and eats. He is going to be fat again(more) , and not have players, he is ging to wonder if it was all a dream

But never at work. At least not in front of clients.

 

There's a time and place for that kind of language. You'd think on a football field would be one of them though.

Personally, I don't completely trust people who refuse to cuss. If you want to drop the f-bomb and drop "frog" instead, you're lying in a way.

 

Unless they really do think fornicate when saying frog… There may be other issues there though.
