The grind kills it for me. Please don't get me wrong. I don't mind moderate grinding but Geez........some games take it too damn far.

I would see a problem as they cost as much as a regular game when they are first purchased. -
-
For me Its the grind. Ive tried count;ess MMO's and Ive tried playing them I really did but after like a solid week they just bore me to the point where I uninstall it.
The only game that looks promising is upcoming KOTR game from Bioware. -

FlyFF is a fun free MMO that I played for a while. It is a mix of WoW and Ragnarok online.

If a MMO is fun and they keep adding new content, then 15 dollars a month to play something that I play over 10 hours a month (if I am a normal person 50 hours a month) isn't bad.
Running MMO's are very expensive to do on a monthly basis. -
Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
-
-
The problem for me is that I wouldnt leave my computer for 14 hours a day when I'd get addicted to them.

I was a console gamer once. A severe console gamer. I was like Mor, if he was attractive, intelligent and smelled good. Had a moded playstation, dreamcast, and N64 all set up. I had my PS2, 4 games, 4 controllers 2 mem cards, and 4 controller extensions paid off 8 months before release and took two days off from work. Got a 360, specifically because of Oblivion.
Then the 360 died.
My wife convinced me to play WoW. I cannot stop playing this game. Everyday. I'm as hooked on that as I am on this place. Its sad really. -

Having said all that, my two biggest complaints about MMO:
1. The people
2. The people
Most are douche bags or have been born since I've been out of high school or both.
Why must everyone in that game be a hateful little ****? Then you have people named Boogernugget *****ing about the new patch's bastardization of the lore. "Oh really, you want to preserve the integrity of the story...Boogernugget?" -
All three of my roommates have been addicted to WoW... I never started because I didn't want to spend 5-6 hours of my life each day playing that game... Seriously, nothing upset me more than saying "hey you guys wanna go out..." then they reply, "Nah, we gotta raid tonight." :pity: -

That game was pretty fun.
