Hey guys, I'm working on writing an article about the top 25 Fins of all-time. Who are some names you would be absolutely outraged to not see on the list?

A QB named Dan Marino...

Would this happen to be on Bleacher report?

Chad Henne.... lol
AJ Duhe
Czonka
Duper
Clayton
Jason Taylor
Doug Betters
Larry Little
R Webb
K Sims
Ricky Williams (think what you want of him he will be the Fins all time leading rusher by the end of next season)
Jake Scott
Dick Anderson
Pat Surtain
Sam Madison
Kuechenburg
Langer
Griese
to name a few... :)finsfan23 likes this. -
Jake Scott, Richmond Webb, Dwight Stephenson, Zach Thomas, and Dick Anderson all need to be on any sort of “top Dolphins” list. Also, Don Shula should be #1 on the list. No, he wasn’t a player, but he’s still the historic face of the franchise. Conversely, Jason Taylor should NOT be on this list.
If you decide to have a dishonorable mentions category, then Thurman Thomas, Nick Saban, Bill Parcells, Olindo Mare, and Ted Ginn, Jr. all deserve consideration.finsfan23 likes this. -
I think Jake Long is already in the top 25 honestly, even if you couldn't put him higher than 25th due to age/experience.
-
I actually thought we should have sold high and traded Taylor after the 2006 season. And in retrospect, after the way Cameron was undermined in the locker room and the way Taylor has done nothing for the franchise since, that would have been the best move. -
This should get you started. I even divided 'em by era.

Griese at #3? Marino at 18?
I hope that is not in numerical order. -
Bryan Cox was a decent player but he could not hold Zach or Offerdahl's jock strap.
Clayton was better than Duper. -

Even if I'm alone in thinking it, it's damned close between Greise, Marino, Zonk, Warfield, Scot, Anderson.... -

Earl did play well in Griese's absence :wink2: -
-
I forgot about Dwight Stephenson... Definitely in the top 25.
Zach Thomas... ahh...
I can not stand JT BUT the fact of the matter is that the guy did record 124 sacks for the team which is more than double anyone else. -

I Forgot Bill Stanfill, left Paul Warfield of the list because he didn't play long enough for us IMO (same with Jake Long). Loved the Blackwood brothers but I don't think they belong in the top 25 (JMO).Vengeful Odin likes this. -
OK, OK. Everybody wants it in numerical order.
That's a lot tougher but I'll give it a shot...
1 Shula (HOF my dog's name)
2 Marino (HOF NFL QB)
3 Stephenson (HOF my favorite phin, devastating blocker)
4 Csonka (HOF main cog in Super teams)
5 Langer (HOF 2nd best NFL center, super team running game anchor)
6 Thomas (heart and soul, bleeds Aqua)
7 Webb (body guard kept Marino clean, sorry Bruce Smith)
8 Little (HOF pulling freight train)
9 Warfield (HOF higher on talent but overshawdowed by running game)
10 Taylor (hate to do it, but he has to be high)
11 Kuechenburg (best G C G combo by a mile, 6 Pro Bowls, 3 All Pros)
12 Anderson (No Name D centerfielder)
13 Scott (got to be together with Anderson)
14 Williams (could be phins rushing leader next year)
14 Duhe
15 Offerdaul
16 Buoniconni
17 Baumhower
18 Clayton
19 Betters
20 Matheson
21 Long
22 Duper
23 Morris
24 Stanfill
25 Fernandez (17 tackle Super Bowl domination of Skins)
26 Cox
List changed a little, but that's my stab at it.finsfan23 likes this. -

I'll just list one's I absolutely think should be on - not in a particular order - without looking at any others:
1. Dan Marino
2. Bob Griese
3. Larry Csonka
4. Paul Warfield
5. Jim Langer
6. Larry Little
7. Bob Keuchenberg
8. Nick Buoniconti
9. Jake Scott
10. Dick Anderson
11. Manny Fernandez
12. Nat Moore
13. Mark Clayton
14. Mark Duper
15. Dwight Stephenson (HOF)
16. Richmond Webb
17. Zach Thomas
18. Jason Taylor
19. AJ Duhe
20. John Offerdahl (tied for 3rd most Pro Bowls on all-time roster - 5).
None of those above should be left off. Others with strong consideration, imo:
21. Bob Baumhower (3 PB starts)
22. Ricky Williams
23. Sam Madison
24. Garo Yepremian. Was one of the top 4-5 kickers in the NFL in the early 70's when it was a big deal. And, kicked arguably the biggest FG in Dolphins history - beating Chiefs in epic OT game on Christmas day, 1971; longest game in NFL history.
25. Jim Kiick - underrated but solid RB.
26. Merc. Morris
27. Vern Den Herder (great pass rush DE in '53' era).finsfan23 likes this. -
Betters
Morris
Cox
Baumhower
Over Greise and Duper??
Way to be swayed.. lol
But it's your list -
