Does anyone know of a good (or a few good) bit-torrent site(s)? I used to use demonoid (I think that was the name), but haven't used one in a while.
I also used to use Azureus to download the torrents, but I didn't know if there was something better out there.
Any input would be appreciated.

Private trackers are usually your best bet because the leeching is keep to a minimum. The down side to those are that you could be left uploading for days to fulfill your ratio requirements for an hour download. You will have to search for the private trackers. I use mininova.org or thepiratebay.org for my public trackers.
I use uTorrent for my torrent app. My reason is that it's lightweight and it just works. -
Thanks for the input.
I'll look into uTorrent. -
Don't forget to forward the ports on your router if you have one.
I would also increase the number of concurrent connections if you are running Windows. I think the default is 10 connections. You will see speed increases by upping the number to about 50. There is an app that will do this for you.

Well, I ran the test after the utorrent install and it said I was port forwarding ok.

You are good to go then.

I use uTorrent to download, because its small, quick, lightweight on the system resources. Its easy to use as well.
As for sites.... I use Mininova.org quite a bit, and for TV shows I miss I use eztv.it Neither have given me problems in the past. -
I do not use torrents. Torrents are illegal :shifty:

Not all torrents are illegal. I only download legal stuff like..........Linux distros and............uummm other stuff. Yeah that's it. :wink2:anlgp likes this.

I like to share family photo albums this way. it is a lot easier than getting them a one picture at a time. :shifty:DaFish likes this.

I prefer Rapidshare.

Works equally as well.

rapidshare is great but it runs out for free users.
