I honestly don't know what kind of value Avril has, but since Denver just traded Scheffler for a 6, we would be pretty foolish to give up Ronnie Brown for him AND include more of our draft picks.

I just read Adam Schefter from ESPN said the Eagles and the Packers are both interested in trading up to the top 12 in the draft. I found it interesting they both said 12 since we know the Dolphins have the 12th. Could be coincidence and nothing or it could mean Ireland and Parcells are working on a trade down.

there seems to be several teams wanting to 'move down' with us likely being one of them. the 'winner' will be determined by the cost of moving up ... and what the 'uppers' deem an acceptable price.

 

Pettigrew is a helluva blocker IMO.

Yeah, I was just thinking that. Pettigrew is supposed to be more of a blocking TE, as opposed to a receiving TE. Hence the reason most Lions fans around here were upset with his production. The fans were expecting a receiving TE, and got a blocking TE and now theyre upset :lol: Either way though, I like the trade for the Lions. I'm a bit surprised they shipped off Sims though. I thought that even their new regime we're high on him. Oh well.

 

Only way I could see us making a deal, is if it was for Pettigrew + a 2nd.

Then it MIGHT be worth considering, though personally I still wouldnt do it. Ronnie has more value than that if he is healthy. Much more value.

 

Sims was in a contract year and apparently they felt they could do better than him. This according to Schefter.

We don't really need Scheffler, our offense will be based more around the recievers than the tight ends with the aquisition of Marshall and the talk of trading Ronnie it's definitely not going to be a typical Parcells offense. So i'd have to say I don't see any chance of this happening at all.
