Is Henne practicing?

im on the fence with Long
not happy about berger here. that worries me the most of any injury right now. kinda glad thigpen is starting instead of henne for the time being. you need quick reflexes if someone bursts through up the middle

What the hell happened to the royale with cheese.?
By the way, Vernon Carey had a lot to do with both qb's being knocked out of the game, his position and technique on both plays where both Chad's were hurt, was piss poor..

No, it was mentioned he was not, thought folks would just take it for granted that he was out for awhile?
As for Proctor at Center, I really couldn't say one way or another with him, my impression of him was he is really quick but maybe lacks great sand in his bucket.
Jake Long just might well be my favorite player on the Dolphins now. Always liked him a lot, but wow what an animal.

it looked to me incognito was more to blame for henne at least

Sparano said he was day-to-day and might practice some this week. Though he might be saying that to keep the Bears guessing, you never know.
Padre, stinks about Berger, but I think I recall a snippet from Sparano's presser from yesterday (I watched it really late last night, so forgive me if I'm off here) where he mentioned Murtha had worked at both LT and RT, and McQuistan had gotten some reps there as well. I'm guessing McQuistan probably gets first crack at it given he's been active and even started some games, but I think he could play that 3rd tackle or "Jumbo TE" position, no?
Never thought I'd miss Nate Garner so much...
Nah, Carey had his man blocked, Henne stepped up into the pocket and the guy "fell" off his block and unto Henne's lower body, on Penny you could be right, but that was more fluke than anything else.
Penny hit Long in the arse with his follow through and that was the enough to dislocate his shoulder, which is why he is done.
Murtha is the backup Left Tackle (and they must like him as Andrew Gardner just signed with Cinci's practice squad) and Sparano said they tried him inside at the Guard positions this week.
Murtha is a great athlete, but if he were to play Tackle he is much more of a RT type, in the preseason he did a fine job, but when Long leaves for some plays it is McQ who plays Left Tackle.

That's not a good idea...... especially if it's picket. Long's a big boy. Just be careful is all.
i coulda swore incognito got beat bad on that play. maybe i'm not recalling it correctly
Rotten Richie was beaten cleanly for a sack, but not "the" hit that put out Henne.

Spun around him like a top ...
Woot for Jake Long! Not so Woot on the Clemons & Berger front.

Speakin of "royale with cheese", I wonder how much Carey was salivating when he first heard the Oline was getting a 300 lb Berger back in 05.

Indeed. It's one thing to come in fresh late in the game. It's another to start and end a game with the same intensity. That said, should Clemons be out Thursday, I'll be pulling hard for Jones to make his bones.

I don't think that necessarily means Clemons or Berger are out, especially Berger.
With the compressed schedule his job is even tougher as the FS makes the coverage calls, but I like:
His size
He is a stronger hitter than Clemons
Better hands than Clemons
CC has that speed and makes so few mistakes that gives him a good edge over Reshad J.

lmeister said he'll be pulling hard. You know- there are therapy groups for this kind of disturbing behavior. :shifty:
And you sir, can't go around telling people what they can or cannot do in their own ladies lounge...
:tongue2:
I remember the same though. I remember Rotten Richie getting cleanly beat for the hit the put out Henne
I just watched the play on NFL.com. I have no idea what you saw. In fact Carey's guy was on the ground behind Henne.

The guy hanging on Pennys right leg came right past Carey like he was a ghost. On the Henne sack, its both Careys and Incognitos guy but know what ? can't name one lineman that makes all his blocks. This Oline is still tied for third best in only letting up 13 sacks for the season, thats pretty dam good if you think about it. Tenn was averaging 3.3 sacks a game. Tenn, by far, is the most physical defense in the NFL, hands down. Look at the damage they wreaked on us in just one game. Penny, Henne, Long Berger, banged up Carey cause I remember seeing him on the ground and thats just the damage on the offense.
Berger is out, they said he was not even at practice
Carey did get beat on Pennington's injury. On henne's injury Carey's guy did not touch him. I just watched it five times. In fact that was a pretty good block.

He hasn't had a very good year.
I've taken some flack for saying it before, but I wouldn't be all that surprised to see Carey get jettisoned this offseason. I'm not saying we outright cut him, but personally I think his play has regressed to the point where this may not be so far fetched. Just sayin.
