Really, really sucks. Hopefully, early in the year. And hopefully to make it one of the most epic games ever. With Mass Effect not out till 2016 too, the rest of the year is looking kinda bleak. -
Damn, well at least Metal Gear will be out this year. That will probably consume most if not all of my game time for a while.
-
dammit, I was looking forward to that one.
-
Sucks, but at least it will give me time to play the first 3.
-
Dang! Well getting MLB the show then....(i was any way)

The game's been delayed again, this time about a month (so far). April 26th is the new target. Throws my personal gaming schedule off now, unless AC: Syndicate takes me longer to play through than the series usually does.

No surprise, but the dialogue options in the game won't effect the story in any way. Just for fun and a little more immersion. -

I hadn't seen this before, but the game will eventually get three seperate story mode DLC packs, which is the first for the series. I'm excited about it. The Uncharted series is, for me, unique in that you can replay it bit by bit, but jumping into an individual chapter, rather than replaying the whole game. With all three previous games, I've done this both to find objects I may have missed the first time through, and just to have fun. I'm not sure if I'll do that with the DLC packs, or whether I'll start new. We'll see how they make them and how it all fits together, I guess. -
I'll have to pick up the ports of Uncharted 1-3. Never played the series, though I did get 3 bundled with my PS3.

The first uncharted was excellent. Top 10 game of all-time to me. The sequels were OK. still had great visuals, with mediocre stories, but still fun to play.
-
The other stuff I would call level design. But hey, the game really is all about Drake being a one man army a lot of the time, sort of like some action movies are. It forces you to come up with a plan and a solution as to how to get through each section. For me, its a game that makes me think. -
We're getting close...less than 2 months. I don't know if any of you played the MP beta, but it was ****ing awesome.

I still think Naughty Dog's cinematic gameplay is among the best in the biz. And the characters are likable and the visuals are top notch (at least for consoles).Stitches likes this. -

Interesting article about what went on behind the scenes of the game. Apparently almost a year's worth of work was completely scrapped when a new team took over the direction. That would certainly be a good reason as to why the release date was pushed back six months, and then again after that. -
Delayed again, now to May 10th.

The game has officially gone gold, so the May 10th release date should be solid now. -

Picked up my copy today. Walmart is pathetic and didn't even have the games out in the case yet, even though I waited until after noon to go. The girl working the electronics dept suggested I come back another time, lol. I asked politely if she could check and maybe ask someone who knew :pity:

The game is great. It's far more narrative driven than past games, especially in the beginning. But the gameplay feels less floaty and more natural. And obviously the visuals and presentation are stunning. Naughty Dog is amazing.

I played through the first two real sections, and it took me about an hour and a half. The game is stunningly georgous and feels alive and real. Naughty Dog does such an amazing job of making it feel like the whole world is right there and you could in theory go anywhere and touch anything if you could make it. Its amazing. Thus far, its rivaling The Witcher 3 for the best looking game I've ever played. The controls are extremely responsive as always, and so far its been technically flawless, as I've come to expect from the series.
As BlameIt said, the early parts are heavily story driven, but these guys basiclally let you play through a great adventure movie, so its just the natural progression. I'm playing on the standard difficulty, and I've died A LOT. Watch your step, or down you go. Thankfully, you restart pretty close to where you were before each time. On this level at least, the game assumes that you know what you're doing, but gives a few hints here and there.
I'm going to enjoy this for all its worth and I think it'll have replay value, as the games always have before. Sad that its the end, but maybe the studio will have other games in the future that don't involve zombies so that I can enjoy them  -

Good article about the graphics and the tech aspects of the game. I agree with the notion that at least on Sony consoles, Uncharted over and over is the title that pushes the envelope and takes things to the next level. So true with this one as well. This is what I've been dreaming gaming could be for years. -
Just finished it. It was a very satisfying end to one of my favorite series. Definitely will miss all of the characters.

finished this game on Sunday night. It was a bit short (about 25 hours for me) but really enjoyed it. The graphics were insanely good and the play and story was as good as the first Uncharted and >>> than either Uncharted 2 or 3 IMO.
