I grew up very close to the U of D where current Baltimore Raven Joe Flacco was picked 18th in the Draft and former Raider Rich Gannon was also picked somewhere in the draft.
Jamaal Jackson from the Eagles went to Delaware St. which I'm currently living near now.
My question is I know DE is considered a small school.. but I want to know is it just the division it's in that doesn't give it the national exposure or what?
ex: how come the florida gators get a lot of attention but UD doesn't? Is it purely the size of the school?

well, because good teams get attention. delaware cant sell top prospects to go there. and the state of delaware isn't exactly a hotbed for 5star prospects.

I can go on if you want. Small schools are fun to watch, -
Plus division 2 football is exciting. You just need to watch it -

Recent UD grad here. I think one of the biggest problems with the school is they are too busy trying to become an Ivy League school.

It has really become too big for the surrounding area. In my time living in this state I have seen it boom and the Newark/Wilmington area (more specifically Newark) has really gotten too big for its britches. It is absolutely insane when school is in session in comparison to when it is not.
All the out of towners really grate my nerves.
It's kinda hard to explain.... -
