[Updated] Zach Thomas Retires as a Dolphin, Press Conference thread

The Miami Dolphins will sign Zach Thomas later today so that he can then retire as a Dolphin all-timer. Press conference at 4 p.m.

This would be huge. Great for Zach, and this regime finally righting some wrongs.

Did anyone not see this coming though? I'm glad its going to happen, but I think we all knew it would. Just a matter of timing.

Now that we're ramping down a bit from Free Agency and the Draft, it makes sense. Get it in before OTAs/camps start to really ramp up.

this is awesome just awesome....Zack could have went somewhere else, played another year, made another couple of million...he did all the right things....juiced Jerry Jones for some scratch, told the Pats to eat it.....whats better than that??

No other team would have signed him. He's been out too long because of concussions.

The regime did nothing wrong by not allowing a terminated employee to have a press conference considering he was still going to actively be seeking employment. They had no reason to grant the agent's request of a farewell PC when he was not retiring yet, let alone the fact that he was no longer employed by the team.

This is good news we were all hoping for, he deserves the honor for all the great years he gave the Dolphins and their fans. Can't wait to see the game they choose to honor him this year.

Now induct him into the hall of honor at our first game . . . which happens to be primetime vs.the Jets and his treacherous brother in law!
