It seems USA today have recently released their QB Power Rankings.
Yeah, I know that these power rankings are often pointless, uninformed or just plain ignorant. BUt this one takes the cake.
31 out of 32? Really? In my opinion, it's a sleight against our fanbase...giving out his score based on fan confidence.
But you know, whatever, just another power ranking.

Andy Dalton ranked higher? What a joke.

Once perceptions get into the mainstream they often start rolling downhill and take on a life of their own. On average, with Dolphin fans, Henne was at best mediocre or below average. But away from Miami, fans of other teams that I've spoken to seem to think we're stuck with just an awful QB.

This is absurd. He might not be a world beater, but to say he is 31st is ignorant.
-
I think Henne sucks. But even I don't think he sucks THAT bad.

They got Sanchez at #11. That's just as silly as Henne #31!
DHPVW, Trowa, Dolphins1Beatles and 7 others like this. -
Sanchez at #11? Are you ****ing ****ting me?

Rivers at 7 and below Roethlisberger, Flacco and Sanchez at 10 and 11 respectively, Schaub at 17? Those are all pretty ridiculous.
-
I don't necessarily agree with Sanchez and Dalton being ahead of Henne. But other than that I don't see much issue. I haven't seen anything out of Henne that I haven't seen from say, Jason Campbell. Once you get past a certain level, the QBs don't really differentiate themselves.
-
This really is annoying me, he has plenty of shortcomings, but 31st? I hope he comes out this year and really kicks butt. I am no great believer but the guy should be somewhere in the 20-25 range.

I believe this is the first time I have seen USA Today quoted on anything in the sports world in many a year. I now understand the reason. LOL
I am being very serious in saying that there are MANY posters here who could have done a much better job on that "ranking." -

But I do agree with your statement. Campbell, Kolb, McCoy, McNabb, Jackson, and Hasselbeck did not out play him. But he didn't out play them either. All are bad QBs IMO, and you couldn't go wrong listing one ahead of another. -

That's harsh.
Luckily nobody pays any attention to what USA Today says. Do they? -

I got a feeling guys. I really have a feeling. I think this is the year, since I won't get to watch much Dolphins football, this will be the year we come out and kick ***.
Miami...don't let me down guys!!!!!!!xphinfanx, MarinePhinFan and SCall13 like this. -
I do think they brought up an issue worth bringing up, that I've brought up a few times now, and that is the faith of the coaches.
I just can't help but wonder why the eff Tony Sparano won't just give the guy a vote of confidence. He needs it. Everything is "oh well right NOW he's our quarterback..."Tin Indian and SCall13 like this. -
This is outrageous! He should be number 33 at the highest!!!! :escape2:

This won't sell many Henne jerseys.
-
Alrighty, I tend to ignore what individual nfl media types have to say when making projections, I look instead for general consensus, you can ignore one or a 4 chuckleheads in the media, however if this were reversed, and we looked for NFL media types who were positive about Henne's prospects for 2011, how many can we find?
Not to many, as in the only guy whose name comes to mind is Bill Williamson, or own GRT8 likes Henne fairly well, otherwise, there is not exactly a sea of endorsements of Chad Henne, what is more interesting in that lack of endorsements is they generally hinge on Sparano's "confidence in him" rather then his actual game. -
-
We are approaching the Elrondian point of "our list of allies grows thin" in re Chad HenneTrowa likes this. -
I forgot to mention Phans, and posters here, who like Henne. We have watched the the guy, through thick and thin, every frackin game (at least once), and pre-season, as well as practice.
I would welcome a one on one with most to debate Henne, and I am sure there are many here who would love the same. I can guarantee that I would kick their *** because their very limited knowledge could in no way compete. I would bet there are many here who would do the same.
It's kinda funny that we are posting on the opinions of talking heads, when we know more than they do. JMOSCall13 likes this. -

Schaub in the bottom half is hard to comprehend as well. -

I'm a bit weird that way SB, stats mean not a whole lot to me, I like trying to piece the puzzle together about what is going on upstairs, and how seriously they take things, then again, there are some players who take all of this entirely too seriously and are better served going to the strip club and blowing 3k on booze and lap dances.
Show me the last player who liked to have a good time who sucked? Show me the last time a player took the game seriously who sucked?
