Carey really had a awesome year as a 1st time NFL LT
allow only 3 sack last season .
I also remember every time Green or Beck/Lemon was sack the TE (martin) was the guy alway missing his block!!!
Originally i start out try to warm up to the ideal of drafting JAKE LONG
but Carey has play the best LT since R.WEEB and Mark Dixon

That is a bit misleading because Carey allowed many a passrusher to get heat on the QB which forced the QB to throw it early and have the play blow up on us. Carey either needs to drop weight so he is quicker and has more stamina or he needs to move to right tackle or guard permanently.

wow I'm surprise you do not feel VC had a very good year last season
yes these stat don't include QB pressure but still, if pressure was coming from the left side
most of the time it was the TE/FB who miss or was not effective on stopping the
on coming pass rusher/ check the tape -

jk
VC was not the weak point on the line last season
.......maybe at LG as we went for street FA to street FA
........maybe at Rt as Sheldon allow 8 sack
........are late in the season at C, as SS started to give ground
VC is our best OL at LT
which tell me why would we draft Jake LONG -

Team RB Carries LEFTEND, LEFT TACKLE, MID/GUARD, RIGHT TACKLE. RIGHT END
30 MIA 335 9% 16% 61% 9% 5%
Apparently, we run away from our "best" OL.

The numbers have already been laid out before. Carey has been solid as a run blocker for two straight years and has protected the quarterback's blind side well for two straight years.
In just his first full year at LT, he was well above average, and being that it's much harder to find an above-average left tackle than an above-average right tackle, I think Carey's just fine where he is.
Give him another season or two and he could become a Pro Bowler at left tackle. -
Or is it just me? -
