I don't how good of a read this is. Another one of the media sources that blew this hole thing out of proportion. The media has truly become a joke. Rather than waiting to get facts straight, they make reports based on limited information, speculation, building off what is heard from other media sources doing the same thing and then try to blame the parties involved for the media ****ing up the facts.

Name "one" media member who was actually present for what took place between Ross, Ireland, Sparano, Cohwer, Gruden, Harbaugh, and Mangini...just one. Instead it is all based on speculation and hear-say.

Now some of the facts are coming out...Cohwer wouldn't discuss the job as long as there wasn't an opening. The media had presented it as factual that Cohwer was offered a contract and turned it down because he wouldn't be given full control.

Harbaugh not offered a contract. The media reported it was a done-deal at one point.

And on and on...

Instead of writing articles about Miami engaging in damage control they should be writing articles about what a mess the media made of the situation when they didn't really no **** that was actually taking place and the desire to be "first" has led to shoddy journalism.

Contrary to what's being said today, the Harbaugh thing was happening. Something changed very late in the process.
