Silly question here, but as a Steam n00b I was wondering if you can add user created mods you download to games you own via steam. Looking to buy Just Cause 2 tomorrow and not sure whether to do the Amazon PCCD key or get the steam code if I want to use mods.

Just Cause 2 is a steamworks game. :confused1: You have to play it through steam afaik.

Yes, you can still use mods with Steam games as long as the game itself supports them. I have 40+ mods installed with my Steam copy of Fallout New Vegas.

I've heard a lot of you raving about this game. Is single player fun too? What about it makes it so fun? Is the campaign anything like Call of Duty? (that would be a turn off for me).

Just Cause 2 is what happens when Spider-Man stars in a GTA game. You play as a CIA agent who goes to a fictional Pacific island country to instigate regime change. The story doesn't take itself seriously at all, and it's hilarious.

The real appeal is in the sandbox. The islands are massive and you can basically run around the entire chain from the start.

You get a grappling hook and a parachute that basically lets you grapple and the pop the chute to quickly move around, and the grapple is also a weapon.

Just... Get it. It's one of my favorite games of this generation.

Just Cause 2 was only a single player game until the multiplayer mod was created. So yeah, the single player is the main draw. The MP is just a fun distraction. The game is nothing at all like COD; farthest thing from it actually.

Desides summed it up perfectly... I have put in a few hours into it and LOVE it! It is just fun. Lighthearted but full of action and let's you really do whatever you want. I heard people raving about it so for 3 bucks I got it. Only regret is I wish I got it sooner, and that it is taking some time from Saints Row the Third (another gem).
